Fantastic flash - even better with the built-in X receiver
I got these flashes immediately after getting the X-Pro and several X1R modules and loving them. I had some Altura flashes before, but found that they were extremely non-linear (it jumped 2.2 stops between 1/128 and 1/64! And 1.5 stops between 1/64 and 1/32!) and wanted to replace them.I got these, and have done lots of testing with them.Firstly, they seem quite linear with their power (and, by linear, I mean appropriately exponential). From 1/128 to 1/1, I measured each stop and got 0.8, 1.4, 1.0, 1.0, 0.8, 1.2, and 0.7 stop differences between each of the settings. There's a little variation here and there, but overall it's quite consistent, and some of the deviations may be measurement error. Importantly, there we none of the 2.2 stop jumps that the Altura had.Secondly, I was getting 3s full-power recharges with NiMH batteries (or 6s with Energizer's "Ultimate Lithium" AAs). This isn't great, but it's not too bad given how powerful it is.Thirdly, it took a minute to figure out its mode structure and how to put it in the right RX mode to use my X-Pro to control it, but that's also because I didn't RTFM (read the manual). Once I got that working, it worked very reliably controlled from the X-Pro. One nice thing about having the RX built-in: when I put the power in manual mode on the X-Pro, I don't get the TTL double-flash on the flash (when using the X1R, it does the pre-flash EVEN WHEN the transmitter is in manual mode; this is probably just a design limitation of how the flash control protocol works through the hot-shoe).One issue I had is that it would go into a sleep mode after a while and could not be waken up remotely - you actually had to press a button on the flash to wake it up. I literally just did a google search while typing this review and found the menu option to change the sleep timeout (which was 10min; hold down the "zoom/fn" button in the middle and the first option is "SL: 10" which can be changed to 30, 60, or OFF). Knowing this solves probably the only complaint I had about this flash.Overall, it's a well-priced powerful flash which can be on-camera or controlled via their X system OR a sync cable.

They work great
Every once and a while flash would not fire, I’d say once in every 30 flashes but that might have been trigger issues, but they give off great light and easy to use

Cheap fun with flash
Love these flashes! For the price they are amazing! No they are not TTL so you have to think and having a light meter would help, but in this day and age of digital you can chimp in the exposure to your liking. Yes they have a longer recycle time than higher priced branded flashes but they are perfect for the beginner and any one else who wants to play around with light.I have experienced no reliability problems so far. Took this self portrait with them cleaned and cloned in photoshop.

Great Product
The product is great, but I recommend getting the other transmitter. This one makes me lost some shots that I would rather not to. I used the other one and did not lose a shot due to the flashes not responding. The one that works perfect is the Godox XPro-N TTL Wireless Flash Trigger Transmitter that can be found here in Amazon.Did not rate the battery life because this product does not have batteries included.

Work great, but instructions are lacking
Bought these last week and tested them out. I have not had a chance to use them in an actual photo shoot yet, but they worked well in the test shoot. The instructions are ok, but need serious work describing how to configure everything. This is the first time I have used multiple flashes, and this brand. So I literally had to play around for an hour to get these to work with my Nikon. I finally stumbled on the solution, which should have been more clearly written in the instructions.

Not really that good
One broke shortly after I started using. But company did send me another replacement. However, they do not work that well with my Canon t3 or Canon t5's. The flashe goes off sometimes and doe not work at others. Very frustrating. Would not recommend for those cameras
