Giuseppe Giusti's (they have a balsamic panettone, besides their balsamic vinegars) seems better after Christmas personally, when the vinegar of the raisins is soaked up by the dough.Cipriani's costs more but is noticeably a bit more creamy and the bread is pleasantly moist. The taste is worth the premium price. I've heard Loison is good but we haven't tried that one yet.UPDATE: When eating the crust of another panettone, I noticed the burnt taste that is usually present. That reminded me Cipriani is the only panettone or colomba (Easter cake) I've had without that burnt taste even when scraping the baking paper!I noticed the previous reviewer compared it to Madi. Madi panettone we get from Costco is a great deal but the price for Cipriani is what you pay for the absolute tastiest! I strongly recommend you try Cipriani and decide for yourself. Some might not find the difference in taste to be worth it. Our non-Italian family enjoys several panettone per season.Panettone are great bc they're not very perishable and don't require refrigeration. I like to eat them this time of year in place of other snacks or starches.The current post-Christmas price looks like a steal and I might even order our third one for the season!

Its too good and expensive to have to listen to their boorish reviews.Instead, share this only with people you love!Because while its expensive, This pannetone is delicious with plump raisins, a moist crumb and great flavor.We may order more as holiday gifts in 2023 for our most special friends and family. The rest will get egg McMuffins or grocery store cakes.

A lot of butter, I mean a lot. Fragrant and soft at ambient temperature. Very moisty and not overly sweet so the dried fruits act in a beautiful counterpointed Baroque concerto. Vivaldi style. Obviously.

This panettone is very good when you are able to get a fresh batch. The panettone has a slight rum like taste, but it isn't in the ingredients. I enjoyed that.My first order was excellent. My second order was mediocre due to the bread drying out some. Still good.

Very moist and great soft texture and authentic flavor.

In the past, I have raved about the exceptional quality of this authentic, top drawer product, as it is every bit as good as any panettone I’ve eaten when I was living in Italy. Many of the panettone destined for the U.S. market are baked using shortcuts and inferior ingredients. The Cipriani panettone has itself apart in that regard.That said, the product which we purchased for the 2022 Holiday season was a disappointment. While the crust and crumb were quite up to standard, the flavor profile was “off” in an unpleasant way. The dominant flavor note was that of SCALDED DAIRY…like scalded milk or scalded evaporated milk. Very unpleasant, and for me ruined the experience. Even warming in the oven would not remedy the problem. I wound up using the panettone to prepare a bread pudding in which the cinnamon, vanilla, etc were able to mask the scalded milk flavor.I generally love the Cipriani panettone as it contains only the best ingredients and it is “senza candidti”…no candied fruit rinds, which is my preference. I have a 2nd whole Cipriani panettone in the freezer, (I generally always buy two, to save one for Easter). I am hoping that our awful taste experience with the 1st one is not repeated in the second one.

Truly so happy with this Panettone. The freshness and delicious taste were noticed. I enjoyed every bite. I wish I can have more, but someday when I can afford it, I definitely will order it. This high quality Panettone is packed so nice that would definitely make a nice present for any time! This Panettone earned my trust and joy in mark of EXCELLENCE!!! Highly recommended!!!
