Q: Can you reverse this to get a 6 inch lift?

I have never really tried that, and I have never heard of anyone doing that. Not really sure if it would be safe or legal. I wouldn't do it, and I have towed many things over the years. You could try the reciever type that has 3 size balls on it. That is made to switch around, depending on your needs. Curt makes one and so does Reese.

Yes,it’ll fit anything with a receiver hitch that’s lifted..

Q: Can you use this upside-down to get a 6" increase?

There are other hitch mounts designed to be a "riser". I wouldn't run this one upside down for safety reasons.
