Very disappointed in this product, unless your wrists are the size of an elephant's ankle, don't plan on wearing it on yours. So I just attached it to strap on my pack. Compass looks like you could have gotten it out of a gumball machine.

I bought the Outdoor Kingdom Paracord Emergency Survival Bracelets with Compass & Firestarter to take with me on hiking trips. I've been fortunate enough to never need some kind of survival equipment, but better safe than sorry!The Outdoor Kingdom Paracord Emergency Survival Bracelets are a nice accessory. I clipped mine onto my backpack and had no concerns that it would fall off. I really like how sturdy the bracelets are. They are heavy duty, and the paracord seems like it could actually support a decent amount of weight or successfully bind things together.I tested the compass against the one on my phone and it had the same reading, which I was happy about. I did not test the firestarter because I have not gone hiking yet (and I'd rather not set my house on fire). The jagged toggle designed to create a spark seems like it would do the trick.As a side note, the bracelets are very large. My male friend comfortably wore his and said he forgot he had it on after a while. Mine is way too big for my wrist (and I don't have a particularly small wrist) and spun around a lot while I was briefly wearing it. I don't particularly care because I was planning to clip it onto my backpack anyway, but I imagine other ladies may have a similar issue.I included pictures as part of my review to show how the bracelets come wrapped, how they look flat, and how they look when the clasp is closed. They looked different than I expected, but I prefer the look of the items I received even more than the one I thought I was getting.I received this item at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I recently purchased this survival bracelet and im not oh to impressed. First, it does not look like the pictures provided. The clasp is different, which would normally be fine but i cant find the whistle anywhere on it. Secondly, the firestarter, i assume is the clasp that came with it (slender cylinder with strings through it) (male end) does not make a spark while using the other side of the clasp (female end) Both me and my husband tried. Lastly it is bulky, not only for my wrist but my husbands too. What i did like is it is really sturdy. The rope cutter that is part of the female side of the clasp worked great and the compass works great too. I recieved this product at a discount for my unbiased and honest review.

I bought this for my son for Scouts, it is perfect for that. I would not use this on a major trek or hike as an adult, but for a youth or young adult with proper supervision it is a fine gift My son really loved it. We tested the flint and he was able to make a spark. We did not try to start a fire with it, but we did want to see if it would spark. The compass seems to work just fine, although it did take a while to display the correct location, but again, if he is stuck somewhere, this is better than nothing and fulfills the "Be Prepared" requirement. He likes wearing it around and says it does not bother him at all and he forgets that it is even on. He is bigger than your average 11 year old, but he had no issues getting this on and adjusted. Receive this product and upon opening package found that these bracelets are very well made. Very good quality paracord. Also assembled very well. The fire starter is very easy to use makes a lot of sparks real easily. Compass is dead on nothing wrong with the compass at all. Bracelet is flexible and very easy to wear. Had it on for about 5 minutes and completely forgot I had it on. Would definitely recommend this to other people who are into survival or camping. The paracord will come in very handy in an emergency along with the fire starter. I did receive this product at a discount but I would definitely play full price for this product

This set of two paracord bracelets are made from high quality 7-strand 550 nylon paracord. Additional features include a compass to find your way in a pinch and a magnesium fire starter rod attached to one end and scrapper tool on the other which work together as a clasp for the bracelet. This bracelet also seems to better accommodate a variety of different wrist sizes. I like the paracord colors Army Green and Black, as I prefer a darker colors that will camouflage instead of standing out.
