I don't use a ton of makeup so this was perfect for me...held all my brushes, lip liners, mascara, powders. etc. and great for travel. I love it!! If you're a makeup artist or have a boatload of stuff, this is not for you.

I bought this makeup bag to match the duffle and the backpack I have and it exceeded my expectations! It’s very roomy and has a separate compartment for brushes, which I LOVE!

Who doesn’t like Vera Bradley! They come in various patterns and colors. I bought this cosmetic bag not for make-up but for carrying all my medications. It has 2 zippers, well, 4, total. There is a zippered pouch under the very top lid and then elastic loops for “make-up brushes”. That area zips up well. And then there is the main compartment, which also has another zippered pouch, and a lot room to be over-stuffed in the bag.I bought this case for carrying and storing my medications. The top part where the elastic is at - I store my insulin pens there (the ones I use, not unopened pens that require refrigeration). Then, I put the alcohol wipes and a ziplock bag to store new needles in the pouch. It closes perfectly. Then I use the main compartment for ALL my medications, which varies in size depending on the prescription and quantity of pills (see photos, and don’t judge! I am young and have many medical issues - heart failure, etc..lol.). I do over-stuff it and it zips up well. I have not encountered any flaws whatsoever. In fact, I ended up buying 5 of these cosmetic bags. One is definitely for my primary make-up and brushes. Another to store my various make-up foundations (I own a variety of brands), another for basic travel stuff - mini shampoos, Toothbrushes and paste, etc. and the last one I use to store usb cables and most travel stuff for electronics (cell phone and tablet cables, etc..). I can think of all kinds of things to put into these cases. As you can tell - I truly love them!! Again, durable and no issues at all! And often you can find Vera Bradley merchandise cheaper on here vs the stores at times. When I do visit Hallmark or Vera Bradley, I will usually check Amazon for the patterns and costs. Often Amazon has been the best deals, but sometimes the stores will have better ones, too (Christmas time sales, etc..). I always check Amazon for comparison.I hope this helps and that I may have given you some ideas. Don’t hesitate to buy this case. Totally worth it!!

I like Vera Bradley and thought the price was nice, so I took a chance. Like other customers stated, the bag really needs something to make it more stiff, so it will stand up; it just sort of flops and doesn't have much structure. I keep one of my larger eyeshadow containers in the inside pocket against the back "wall" of the container so it will "sit up straight" and stay open when I apply my makeup. I wouldn't purchase this again.
