Amazon Basics Rapid USB Charger - Black & AA Rechargeable Batteries, Pre-charged - Pack of 4 (Appearance may vary)

I bought this to use with the Amazon basics rechargeable batteries I bought. I can't make my mind up if it is this or the batteries which are a problem. I charged up some of the brand new batteries and when the lights indicated the charging had stopped you would think this would only happen when the batteries were fully charged. However, I have a separate tester and when I checked the individual batteries they were only charged at 3/4 or 75%. I took out and put on again and they continued to charge which is weird since they were supposedly full. In the end it took 4 goes at charging before each battery came out at 100% charged. So all in all it did work but had to take them out and put them in again 4 times. I am not sure if this is the fault of the new batteries or the charger. You would think it was simple - put the battery in green light flashes whiilst charging. When it stops it is fully charged but no that is not the case.

My last charger (a big brand name) took 12+ hours; this was done in a fraction of that time and at a much lower price. The only thing I would change is the lack of rubber feet. As you can see from my picture, I've added four rubber feet to raise it 4 mm to allow surface grip and improved air flow.With all its built-in features, this Amazon Basics charger is a big improvement over my last charger.

Does it’s job well, charges relatively quickly and having the option to charge Aa or aaa is a great touch

small batteries don't fit really well. you have to constantly push them down for them to stay in their slots. Sometime you have to place a book or a similar item on top of the charger to keep the batteries in place. Not very safe.

The batteries pop out easily so it’s a little fiddly to get it going but when it charges it’s all fine

That it charge the batteries very fast only wish they were still in stock

It is a very nice battery charger and it is very simple to pop out the battery's out the case but thecable it comes with is very short so I am just using a other micro usb cable but other than thatit is great!

I’ve used many battery chargers in the past, with many giving me problems with overheating and straight up breaking because of rubbish plastic.This is the cheapest one I’ve ever bought and I’ve had serious reservations about buying this because of that.It also recharges over USB which seemed alien to me as I’ve always used mains socket chargers.But this one is the best I’ve ever used. It charges quickly over USB and if you are only charging 2 at a time, you can place them at either side of the charger to minimise the chance of overheating.It’s reliable and just works, get it.
