Worth every penny
Really happy with this knife. Handle was a darker green instead of the blue but that's not a problem.

More decorative than useful for most.
Got it as a gift for my chef (I work in a restaurant). It's a heavy knife but decently balanced and the sheath it comes in is well made, but a leather guard is prone to bacteria. It is not sharp at all brand new and you will need a stone. The blade is made of every high grade steel and the build quality is good. A smaller fit in the hand but most normal usage feels good.If you ditch the leather guard and know how to sharpen a knife this is a beautiful, long lasting, versatile addition to any kit. If not, it's kinda useless.

It's a beautiful knife, no doubt
It's a beautiful knife, no doubt. I've always had a weakness for the design of Damascus, but this knife turned into a disappointment. About 2-3 months later I had found the same knife for a much lower listing on a few sites. Aside from that, it does rust very easily, which is quite unfortunate for trying to use in the kitchen. Makes a great display piece though.

Overall terrible knife - dont waste your money
ISSUES:ARRIVED SLIGHTLY BENT (can be corrected manually)BLADE VARIES SLIGHTLY IN THICKNESS (can't be corrected)I only took off 3 stars for product manufacturing errors, or things that can only be fixed by buying a new knife. Since the blade is thinner in some areas than others (no its not tapering, it is concave in some areas), the blade itself is compromised. Sharpening the blade will exaggerate that it's thinner in some areas and will make cutting food inconsistent and more difficult than a 100% uniform blade.OTHER COMMENTS:The knife arrives in its sheath and is wrapped in plastic and coated all over in oil to preserve the blade. Washing off the oil will take about three hand washes, including washing off the handle. The next challenge is sharpening. The blade is not that sharp, and needs to be sharpened after basically every use. It is not a high quality steel. It also rusts extremely easily. I hand wash it every time and dry it immediately and there are always some small rust marks no matter what.

Poorly constructed Damascus steel knife.
This is a real Damascus knife with interesting markings on the blade. The blade is very heavy and the handle is very skinny and this makes it uncomfortable to use. The balance is blade heavy and this makes it awkward when cutting. Comes with an nice leather sheath.
