Stoney PointAccessory Black Rubber V-Yoke, Clam

Received this today. I was going to buy a cheap shooting stick, but I remembered I had a nice telescoping walking stick with a round knob on top. I checked and the knob unscrewed revealing a 1/4 -20 stud. I'm betting most of these have one so they can be used for camera work. The makers of the Y-Yoke were clever to incorporate this design feature into their product ad I was able to easily convert the walking stick into a shooting stick. I'll use them both on a hunt.The yoke has a medium soft rubber over-molded onto a hard but tough polymer skeleton. this provides grip for a slick gun stock and strength.Me: thirty five years designing consumer products, no links to the manufacturer, just like the product.

This yoke works well on a standard camera tripod and/or monopod. It fits snugly and there is no wobble. The yoke is only as good as the tripod/monopod you put it on. With the best of both worlds, I am a professional photographer and avid shooter, so this is my yoke of choice. I actually leave mine attached to my spare arm of my tri/mono and I am ready for the go. I can actually use it as a camera rest also. So the benefit is - no shake for my camera, and no shake for my AR-15. This is the best of both of my worlds. Hi Yo Silver - away.

I have a big camera lens that does not have a tripod collar so I got this to stabilize it on a monopod. The material is firm rubber and it seems to do the trick nicely. Price was right too.

Too small

I bought this Stoney Point Accessory Black Rubber V-Yoke to replace the V-Yoke to my Primos Trigger Stick. It works perfectly. I lost the V-Yoke to the Trigger Stick the very first time I entered into the woods with thick underbrush. I immediately contacted Primos by email, filled out a service ticket back in October, and haven't heard from them since. I took a chance on this product, hoping that it would fit the Trigger Stick and it does. So, if you don't want to bother with the unresponsive Customer Service Department of Primos, I highly recommend you purchase this V-Yoke by Stoney Point. It is well-made and works great!

Although this was purchased for me by a friend years ago as a rifle-aide, I use it as a brace for my shower wheelchair as well. The rubber yoke fits my chair perfectly and the foot end of the Stoney Point walking stick braces against the wall and the chair does NOT move. Perfect. The yoke's rubber finally wore off so I bought a new yoke. Prefect again! Thanks, Amazon!!!

I use this when I go shooting with a rifle or handgun, but at the same time shooting with a camera. Attached to a mono-pod or tripod, this works as a walking stick, shooting stick and camera stabilizer. I already owned several expensive tripods and mono-pods, so this accessory saved me a lot of money, plus the convenience of being able to carry only one tripod.

Chances are you already own a camera monopod or tripod, so why buy what is essentially the same shooting accessory again with a V-shaped widget at the top? Just buy the widget! Makes sense and the folks at Stoney Point got it right. Item is solid, one-piece, dense-plastic construction. The threads at the bottom are brass and the yoke has a medium rubbery grip texture. The yoke has 1/8" serrations grooved into it for additional anti-slip protection. Two eyelet cutouts for hanging or attaching whatever you want from it.
