Keep Calm and Carry On Tea Sampler with 4 Tins, English Breakfast (2), Afternoon Blend and Earl Grey (40 Tea Bags, 100g)

I love tins and I love the "Keep Calm and Carry On" theme, so of course I love these. The lids are totally detachable, so not a hinge (bummer, but oh, well). The extra plus for these tins is the lettering is embossed/raised, so just adds more character to the tins. (I don't like English teas, so I really just bought these for the tins.)

Decent tea, I honestly bought it for the appearance. I plan to fill them with other teas when I run out, which won't be too long. A closer reading would have told me I was buying 40 bags TOTAL. 10 afternoon, 10 Earl Greg, 20 breakfast. The tons are sized accordingly (2 tin's if breakfast). The afternoon is my favorite testing tea, though it's very light on caffeine. The breakfast tea is a little weak flavored (and I'm not some coffee drinker making confused comparisons), the Earl Grey is unremarkable, but at least it's not overly flowery or liquoricey. The tins look great, and I keep the red one on my desk at work.

Bought this as cute table decoration for a British Bridal Tea Party. Outside was great--I removed tea and used to fill with roses and make floral centerpiece. Inside was disappointing. Tea quality is very good--delicious, strong Earl Grey bergamot flavor, but for the cost, I think the tea bags should have had some tags for identification when they are not in the tins. Would have been much cuter for the party if the tea bags had Union Jack tags.

I ordered these tins as a gift. It wasn't that much more expensive to get the whole set versus just one or two. The recipient enjoyed the tins and the tea. I suspect that the tins themselves may be re-gifted and that's ok. They are perfect for that!
