More than a story
This book was a pleasant surprise for many reasons. This is the first book my child asked me to read again...3 times to be exact. It is a cute story about addressing fears and is relevant to our daily conversations. I appreciate that the color scheme was soft and not dramatic. I have noticed sometimes colors can deter interest. The illustrations are great and helped my little one identify what was going on in the book. Most books we buy are just a story, but this one is different. It comes with downloadable coloring activity sheets and a list of activities to engage your child. I added a picture of me and my child's first attempt at one of the sheets. I didn't think about until we started coloring but, it is a great way for him to work on letters since the coloring sheets have images and letters. The activities in my case are helpful because I now can add them to our daily lessons. We have not made it through all of them with the little one, which is a great thing. This means we will be able to continue to use the activities in the weeks...months to come. If you have older children I think the activities are relevant as well and actually are a good way to engage the whole family during family time. We are home schooling so this is a perfect buy for our family library.

Good Life Lessons For Children
I think this book will help other children to understand that learning new things might be uncomfortable and scary. But when we try, we can find it to be enjoyable and fun. This book will also help children that facing our fears is the only way that is going to allow us to get over them.My favorite part of the book is when Bubba the Hamster enjoyed the view from the tree once he climbed it. It shows that truly trying new things in life can bring us joy and happiness. I gave the book 5 stars because I truly think it is really important for kids to learn about facing their fears and also trying new things in life.

Fun and educative.
Bella and Bubba, brother and sister took a walk in the park and the young mite wanted to climb the big old oak tree, when he saw the size of the tree and how tiny he was, he was afraid and ran away. It was truly big-sister like of Bella, helping him to conquer his fears. She thought him small steps is how big things get done and conquering his fears. An amusing and educative lovely little book with delightfully quirky characters, teaching kids how to handle their fears.

Great book!
My kids are 3 and 5 years old and they both loved this book. When we finished reading it they asked to read it again—that’s how you know it’s good! The illustrations are great and I appreciated the teaching nature of the book, with questions for discussion at the end.

5 year old loves Bubba!
My 5 year old nephew loves this book. He is fearful of new people, places, and things. My sister says he Loves this book and asks to read it multiple times a day. She says he often repeats phrases from the book when he is afraid of something. He repeats things like "Face your fears" and "It will be okay". So far, this book has been very helpful.

Great book!
This book is cute but more importantly it will help young children to cope a little more with anxiety. I really like the workbook at the end for them to write their own fears. Nice job!

Sweet!
My 6 yr old granddaughter has autism and anxiety. She loves both Bubba books! Fears and meltdowns are things she experiences and these books are wonderful teaching tools for her. And for now asks me to read them to her every night.

Small Steps, conquer fears
Bubba and Bella went for a walk. Bubba wanted to see the whole valley by climbing up a big tree. Bubba almost missed out because of fear. With the encouragement of his sister Bella, you will find out if he succeeded. This story explains how small steps can cause us to do big things.

A beautiful and educational story - highly recommended!
This book is about a hamster called Bubba, whose older sister helps him to overcome his fears. It is such an important life lesson, and something that I feel every child should be educated on as early as possible. I read this book to my nephews, and the truly wonderful graphics really helped to keep their attention. This in turn led them to ask questions, which I think in itself proves the book is a huge success! We have had many discussions since with the help of the fantastic workbook at the end about what scares them and how they can conquer those fears. A beautiful and educational story that we all loved!

Great story for children.
A lovely story, teaching children strategies to be calm and not be scared of things they needn’t be scared of. There’s always help around.
