I just received the backpack and the quality seems to be good. It fits well and very simply laid out. I look forward to using it and will let you know in a month or two how it compares other backpacks I have. I travel often and this may be an ideal size for taking onboard a aircraft.

Update 04/23/2016 -Unfortunately I had to lower my rating as the stitching around one of the shoulder straps has come loose, and anothsr strap has come detached. This backpack isn't designed for rigorous use. just after a few weeks I can start seeing things starting to fall apart, and areas where the stitching is pulling out. It's too bad because I really liked the size and look.---Good quality bag. Great for day hikes, long walks, and trips to the local store.

The front pockets are raised, so the bag will tip over when leaned up against anything. It is also a thin bag, so you won't fit anything like wide binders or laptops.

Only problem is the strap that goes around waist is sized to fit a 10 year old. I'm 6'2" 260lbs... No way!

I was actually really excited to get this bag. My last bag lasted years but the zipper finally gave out. First complaint is its a men's hiking backpack the waistband is redickuless short and second complaint is i really thought that with it being a sports bag it would have a spot for a camel pak probably going to return it i do a lot of hiking and it's just not going to work for me very disappointing
