Great for oxygen o2 lines!
We got my husband an oxygen concentrator. We can't afford multiple machines so we needed to be able to easily split the lines. We put the machine in a spare room (they put out a lot of heat!) and ran tubing from there to the bedroom & living rooms. But not only was it a pain to remember to change which hose was connected, I was afraid it would eventually break the connector being taken on & off all the time. I researched like crazy trying to find a valve that would work, but nothing was exactly right or the valves did not have perfect reviews (no room for error on this one). We found 2 reviews where people used it for the exact purpose we were looking for so I sucked it up and gave it a try (since Amazon has excellent customer service and return policies). I am so glad I did!!Yes, it's expensive, but I am willing to bet it's never going to wear out and it sure makes switching the rooms a whole lot easier (and anything to make our lives easier at this point is well worth the price).Tip: we put a sticker on ONE of the o2 tubes so we can quickly see which direction the valve needs to go.

Great solution to home oxygen system
This is the solution to routing your oxygen supply to different zones in your house. One oxygen line from the machine in our basement up to a centrally-located hall closet can reach all over our two-bedroom house, but leaving the hose on the floor at night created a tripping hazard for anyone getting to the bathroom. So we ran another line down from that closet and up in our bedroom closet. We wasted some time on Y connectors to split the supply line and valves that could shut off individual lines. We even tried connectors meant for airbrush equipment that automatically cut off the flow when disconnected. This valve lets us easily switch the supply line to either the walkabout line or the dedicated bedroom line. It is mounted at door-knob height on a small board that I attached just inside the closet door frame and sticking out a couple inches into the door opening. This valve has no provision for mounting, so I strapped it to the board with small zip-ties that pass through holes drilled in the board and wrap around the valve body. A few cable guides to route the hoses without sharp bends, and voila, it works beautifully.

Easy to use and well made
The problem: CPAP at night, O2 feed during the day, and an O2 concentration that was obviously NOT designed by someone that had to use it. And neither did they let there mother use it.Most people that use these O2 machines are not in that great of health and swapping out the lines between a CPAP at night and nasal feed line during the day can be a real issue. The solution: This little do-hickey is an easy to use switch that the person using the O2 can easily select between two outputs for the gas to flow.ALSO, if placed in the center, it is effectively "OFF"

Great Valve, But Expensive
I was restringing my O2 line every evening when I went to bed which was a pain. I came across this little gem and it simplified getting oxygen in the bedroom. The four star rating is for the price. I found brass ones that have separate shutoffs on each leg that were only $6, but this looked much simpler.

Well worth it!
This valve allows me to easily switch the stationary oxygen concentrator flow from a nasal cannula to a CPAP without needing to change any oxygen tubes around. It’s an expensive piece of plastic for sure but I’m glad I bought it. I’ve seen some comments where people are considering air valves intended for use with aquariums which are a lot cheaper. I’ve had aquariums and used those before, but they are not nearly as reliable. So, with my health at stake the extra few bucks makes sense. Buy it and make life a bit easier!

Works well for oxygen and CPAP
It's a little expensive, but considering how much money I paid for all my medical air stuff (no insurance), it is within expectations.I have it connected to an invacare oxygen concentrator and a resmed bipap machine, works well so far for the purpose of switching.

Nice valve system but...
This is a nice valve system but it is terribly overpriced. I had been looking for something like this valve switch for use with my oxygen concentrator. I use oxygen 24/7. The issue was that I was physically having to remove one oxygen line from the output of the concentrator and attach a different oxygen line to be used with my Bipap machine at night. In the morning I had to switch lines again. While it was not a chore to switch oxygen tubing, it was annoying. I came across this valve by accident when I was looking for oxygen tubing. I started reading some of the reviews and was surprised to find that I was not the only person who would use the valve to switch between oxygen lines. This being the case, it is bewildering why oxygen tubing manufacturers do not make a valve similar to this. After I purchased and received this, I looked at valve's sold for fish tanks, I did not find any on line that would work with my oxygen system, but I will almost bet that the local pet store would carry something that I could use, and at a more reasonable cost. There is really nothing unique about this valve, it's made from a hard plastic so appears durable, but again the item does not warrant the cost. Because of the cost I give it three stars. If I break this item, I will pay a visit to my local pet store. Heck! Walmart is likely to have a valve in their pet department.

3 way valve
I use these valves for my in house medical oxygen tubes. I have one tube that goes to my CAPA machine for night time and one I use for my tubing during the day. Using this valve keeps me from having to change tubes all the time.

Excellent product
With having to use oxygen this product comes in handy for hooking up two oxygen lines is kind of pricey but you can see the quality built into this valve. I would recommend this for everyone who is in the same predicament has myself.

Great gadget!
This is awful, usually hose is connected to cpap machine, this way I can hook up separate hose for just breathing! So easy to use!Highly recommend this item!
