Dont let the bag touch the bottom of the pot or the bag will burn and melt,i burned one of the bags but other than that it works really good and much easier and faster to cook and empty out the mash!!!

I used this brew bag on my latest brew. It worked fine, my only complaint is that the geometry of these bags is such that when they are raised over the brew kettle, they don't drain from the center of the bag and some wort was thereby lost over the side of the kettle. I guess they're meant to be used with kettles with larger diameters than my humble Gigawort.

Fit the need well

I generally despise reviews made before use of the item but inaccurate product description warranted it.The bags look well constructed and the weave size should work great. Was supposed to be 18” wide and 16” tall. Was only 17” wide inside the stitching and 17.5” overall. Description says the larger bag should work with a 10 gal pot. It would only work as shown if the pot diameter is less than 10.5”. That would be one tall skinny pot. My 5 gal canning pot that I plan on using for 2.5 gal batches is 13” in diameter. My blichmann 8 gal pot is 14”. Shame on me for not calculating out the dimensions I needed first. The bags will probably work great for hops in the boil. Ordered the 26” wide bag. For the price it’s not bad.

Used bag in the straining of homemade limoncello. Used two different micron sized bags. Worked very well.

Buy the larger size and pre-shrink it if you want the smaller size for boil applications. Some what annoying, but you can learn from my lesson.
