I bought this because it is much loved by the French who visit the Greek Island of Amorgos. (It is hard to avoid their enthusiasm if you are on a ferry with them). But Amorgos barely features (disappointment 1). It is about 2 childhood friends free diving to a depth and growing up to compete all over the world. (Not Amorgos, disappointment 2). It is famed for its underwater shots. It has been called the most beautiful film you will ever see. Mmmmm. Well, i wouldn't have called it the Big Blue, but maybe you needed to see it on the big screen. There is a love element but who wins? The woman or the dolphin? And it felt long and tedious. It could have been shorter, bluer and showed more Amorgos.
