This 9.5" platter was hand made by me. The lace doily I used to produce the texture is one of my favorites. This unique and beautiful platter is the perfect addition to any kitchen. The vertical edge is about 1" high and the interior diameter is 9". I made this platter from white stoneware (clay). Pressed a lace doily on to the slab, cut the circle and added the edge, Then I bisque fired it, glazed it and fired it again. I used only one glaze. This glaze is a beautiful dark pink where it is thick and goes to a blue where it is thin. After covering the whole piece, I carefully wiped away some of the glaze from the doily center and left it on the edges and sides. I am very pleased with the results. I hope you will be also. This platter will also look wonderful hanging on the wall when not in use. The color of the glaze is accurate on my monitor.
