Stopped working after 2 months
This would be about 1440 hours, even if It had been on for 24 hours a day, and that is far below the 15000 mentioned in the description. However it‘s too late to return it, and there is no obvious way to complain to the manufacturer on the website.

A good money saving alternative to tungsten or halogen bulbs
LED's have very much become the standard for light bulbs over the last couple of years and for good reason too - they are so much cheaper to run than conventional bulbs and last so much longer too. For example, this bulb uses 6W of power and has a stated light output of 806 lumens. To achieve a similar light output from a tungsten bulb, you would need a bulb with a power rating of 54W. As such, this bulb will save 48W of power for every hour of runtime. If it is assumed that electricity costs about 18p per unit (kW/h), this means that this LED bulb will save about 0.87p for every hour it is used. Whilst this might seem tiny, it very quickly mounts up i.e. £8.64 over the course of a year (assuming 1000 hours of use per year), at which rate, the bulb should last 15 years. Accordingly, the initial investment of this bulb should be very quickly recouped and very quickly provide significant savings. As mentioned, this bulb is equivalent to a 54W tungsten bulb and as such, it is reasonably bright. It is also a lot smaller than expected (4.5cm in diameter x 8.0cm in length) which is similar in size to a golf ball bulb. As such, it should be suitable as a like for like replacement in most circumstances. One consideration which is relevant to LED bulbs which wouldn't have been relevant to tungsten bulbs is the colour temperature. There are broadly three main colour temperatures which LED bulbs are produced in, these being 2700K (warm white), 4000K (cool white) and 6500K (daylight white). This particular bulb has a colour temperature of 2700K (warm white) and personally, this is my preference for LED bulbs.Whilst in use, the bulb remains reasonably cool to the touch and given that heat is probably the biggest cause of premature failure in LEDs, this provides reasonable confidence that that the 15,000 hour lifespan should be achievable. Clearly, this is not something which I can confirm as yet (otherwise my review wouldn't be available for quite a number of years). As a final point, the title of this product makes reference to this bulb being 7W (rather than 6W). Whilst a version of the bulb may be available with this characteristic, it is incorrect for the version of the bulb which I have received. Accordingly, make sure you chose the correct option on the Amazon product page, to avoid getting a bulb which is different than expected.

Good quality E14 bulb with filament look, but very expensive
OSRAM being a big brand have this 15W E14 bulb. It's a nice golf ball style bulb with a filament look to it. I've got various other E14 golf ball and candle style bulbs. This is definitely one of the best out of all mine. The light at 2700k is about right for warm white, looks pretty close to a traditional bulb.My only gripe is that at almost £6, this is a lot of money when other people are selling them from around £2. Some of the mid range stuff I've tried costing around £3-4 per bulb, they're pretty much almost as good as this, so it's quite a premium you're paying, especially if you are getting a fair number of bulbs. Overall, a good product which I would recommend, but you do pay a premium for it.

Nice enough bulb but far too expensive
This is a nice enough lightbulb but that is all it is and at almost £6 for one or £57 for ten it is far too expensive, Osram is a great brand but it is very hard to recommend when there is such a large price tag attached.

Bright and shining
I am becoming a fan of OSRAM make of lightbulbs as they are a really good quality of lightbulbs and this one is no different. This one is nice and bright and screws in and easily and requires no warm up time, going to instant brightness as soon as you knock the light on. This is pricy for a single bulb, but you are also paying for a reliable make and it is still going strong.

Superior Quality Lamp
After being hellishly expensive in the early days, LED lamps are very affordable now, with greatly improved reliability and performance over earlier offerings. Unlike earlier LED lamps, you no longer have problems with heat dissipation and poor colour rendering. This is probably the best LED lamp of this type (filament) that I have tried, and I have tried quite a few. To be fair, this is what you would probably expect from a trusted brand like Osram. It doesn’t disappoint, not in the slightest. I would have to say that this is the most natural, and closest to tungsten (incandescent) lamps that I have seen, both in switching and colour. This particular version is 2700K (warm white), perfect for bedrooms, living rooms etc; and is totally flicker free. What really amazed me with this, is its diminutive size (77mm in length, 45mm width), which is more akin to golf-ball lamp size. This makes it perfect for enclosed fittings / table lamps / wall lights where small form factor is essential, as well as traditional pendants. This lamp, albeit smaller, as already noted, id the same shape as a traditional tungsten lamp (light bulb). The output is 806 lumens, which makes it comparable to approximately 60W incandescent, so a great energy saving lamp, coupled with LED longevity.Really well made, with excellent light output, with illuminance spread exactly like a tungsten. There is virtually no heat generated, very important for safety (and efficiency) reasons.Do note, the fitting type is E27, this is ES (Edison screw) and NOT SES (Small Edison Screw), so make sure this is what you require. This particular lamp is NOT dimmable. The CRI (Colour Rendering Index), for these is 80, which is what you would expect. To summarise, this is a top quality, well-made product, that performs outstandingly. Although more expensive than many others, this is a name you can trust. There are a lot of dubious quality lamps around…… Most definitely a recommended lamp choice.
