This is absolutely adorable.Just received today, so will update if product fails.Not only is this totally cute, but it stays in place, as do the bowls on top of it.I read some reviews saying it needed to be thrown away once it became dirty....ummm do you know how to use a washing machine? Because the tag comes with instructions on how to use one.Love this, great price, excellent quality.

This is adorable! I haven't actually used this yet, but I can comment on the mat itself. It has a nice vinyl backing so it won't slide on wood, linoleum or tiled floors. The fish design is cute. The colors are great. The fabric is textured kind of like burlap (see my close-up pic), but a lot softer than burlap. The edges have a nice black piping so the edges should never fray. It's also a great size.As for washability and durability, that will have to wait until after it's used.Cute mat! 👍👍

During the pandemic, our 12-year-old orange tabby has become incredibly social. So social that she began sitting on the dining room table while we eat lunch and dinner. We can’t toss her on the floor because our 80- and 120-pound dogs sit at our feet waiting for something to accidentally drop. So … we silly empty nesters began feeding the cat tidbits on the table, which was a huge mistake. Now she takes her food in bowls at the other end of the table on this great placemat. If she’s going to eat at the table, she’s got to dine in style. We like the MCM fish design, the durability, and easy cleaning. She likes that her bowls don’t scoot across the table. I’m sure this would work well on the floor too (and maybe one day we will try that)!

I have a rescue kitten who likes to drag his wet food off the plate and onto the floor to eat it (doesn't matter the size of plate or if I double plate, I think he just hates smooth surfaces.) We have carpet so I needed as solution. I bought these, and they work great for saving the carpet, but almost immediately they got weird purple spots on the backside. I'm kind of assuming they're some sort of reaction to the wet food or mold, but it hasn't come off on the carpet so we're still using them. Not sure if we'd been better about cleaning them after every use if we could've avoided it, or if they are harmful at all, but it's a good to know.

This mat is awesome! Although I don't feed my cat fish, I love fish designs for his food dishes/accessories. He is a messy eater with his wet food and this mat is awesome at catching his spills. It perfectly fits his water fountain and dry food dish. The mat itself is thick and sturdy with nonslip rubber on the bottom for those with hardwood/linoleum.

Literally hours after searching for a mat for my cat to eat from, I settled on the Kool Fish Tapestry Mat. Settling is an understatement!! This is a wonderfully made, strong, vibrantly colored mat. To top even that, my cat eats on the far end of the kitchen counter which is quite slippery and this mat DOES NOT SLIP!!! Wow!! Prior to this mat, I had to tape down a placemat (as the kitty must jump from the island to his feeding station). I am so very impressed with this mat...….and so is my cat!!

I bought this a couple months ago when I bought the cat fountain. I needed a new mat or pad because what I had was looking awful. I saw this and thought it was so cute. Plus, it was perfect to compliment my beachy blues. Since it was early on in "shelter in place" time, the mat and the fountain were like entertainment that was practical. I was glad to get something that made me happy - I don't think it mattered much to Chelsea the cat. The mat and the fountain were put in place at the same time and I realized I needed the fountain really close to the edge of the mat because if it was sitting too far back and her feet were going to be half on and half off, she would back up then be reaching to get to her water. Now the food and water both sit to the front and she doesn't mind at all. Since I have long drapes I pull shut at night I can't have everything sitting too far back anyway it works all the way around.

It's super cute, a great size, and washes just fine in the washer! Some reviews mentioned mold, but my cat even dumped her water out and soaked the mat on carpet, which wasn't discovered for about two days, and still no mold! Perhaps they thought the dark purple dye marks on the bottom was mold? Anyway, love the mat, still looks and is doing great! I should probably wash it again now though...

I only feed my cat wet food and he has a tendency to bite the pate and put it on the floor and eat it that way.At the end of the day there's all these dry crumbs all around his food bowl.I didn't realize this is a scratchy fabric when I bought this. Maybe it's supposed to be a scratchy fabric so it catches the food crumbs but when you try to clean it out it gets stuck in the fibers and, since it is a fabric, it now smells terrible even though I always wash it.A nylon/plastic/rubber surface will be much easier to clean. I would have to repurchase.

Mi gato suele sacar la comida y ensuciar el suelo, es muy sencillo de limpiar el único tema es que se dobla de las esquinas después de haberla lavado, yo la metí en la lavadora, quizá por eso se presentaron los dobleces.

Está bonito, pero se la vuelan con el empaque: me lo mandaron en una turbo cajita con un montón de papel para rellenar... me siento ecocida
