3-1/4" Historical Antiqued Brass Inkwell with Quill Nib Pens and Ink

Well packaged and quick delivery. Be careful opening the box as the feathers were laying on the top and I cut a section mistakenly.

Simple, well made and a perfect companion to the feathered quills I keep on my circa 1940's desk. Complements the ink well & quill previously purchased from Schooner Bay(another gem of a purchase). Would recommend to anyone looking for quality, replica pieces for home office, work or simply to add a little ambiance to well-appointed den or reading room. Nice work, Schooner !

It's Brass, the pens do write well with the proper ink (suggest Dr Phil's dipping ink)If you are using this for show, it's perfect.If you want to use this practically, a bit of care. The inkwell is quite deep and the pens may need some extra gluing so the feathers will not come out.The inkwell is well made.The ink powder is rather dubious, I didn't try it.Overall I really liked this item, it is just what it looks like. A brass inkwell.

I really have to say I am very well pleased with this purchase! More than worth the price. And works very well in an 18th / 19th Century setting.

I like it but making the ink was a little difficult for me. Other than that, I love it.
