I have a receiver that has no way to add an equalizer after the preamp. But I plug all my audio sources -- turntable, separate FM receiver, CD, and cassette tape -- into inputs 1, 2, 3 and 4 on this switch, and then I just choose output 1, 2, 3, or 4 to go into my separate equalizer, and then I feed the equalizer into one of my receiver's line inputs; which one really doesn't matter. I don't use the equalizer to amplify the signal at all, so the line level into the receiver stays nice and low. And now I can equalize the receiver to fit my speakers, which makes a huge difference. So I love this switch! It has no switching noise, and generates no noise.

If I have an input on channel 1 and the selector also on channel 1, I plug something into a different channel (say, 2), it creates a buzzing sound, even though the selector is still on channel 1. Removing the cables from other channels removes the buzzing. But not having anything plugged into the other channels defeats the purpose.

Selector knob points up, most user-friendly I've ever used. Adding RCA plugs is easy, not jammed up like most connectors. COOL looking also!!

Easley way to add versatility to a single RCA input or output. With my setup and ear I can detect any distortion associated with the switch.
