Packs flat, but very solid when assembled! We really like

I bought this BBQ for the main requirement of an easy to store, flat-packing BBQ. This met that requirement perfectly as it folds out into a nice big size, suitable for around 4-6 burgers. With the right coal it can last over 2 hours so it can also be used for a family BBQ if you have the patience to cook small amounts at a time. Cleaning was no problem, although it will leave heavy burn marks. It gets extremely hot and takes a while to get used to compared to kettle BBQs, so my first batch of burgers were cremated. I didn't plan to use this anywhere outside the home, but now I am thinking about camping with it or using it on a permitted beach. I highly recommend this if you want a small, versatile BBQ that can fold away into an included bag and be easily stored away in a drawer.

The compact foldaway design is a great space saver, but it has some design issues. The Ash tray is a poor fit and hot ash can fall out (in dry conditions it can't be put on grass! But once on an aluminium sheet it's OK) also the top grill is easily knocked off and tilts (can be annoying during a bbq........sausages in the coals.....). Don't overfil the bbq with coals as there is no adjustment to the grill height. This size of bbq is OK for two people and at a stretch can be used for 4, but having the coals limited in height reduces the burn time. Using a combination of lump wood and longer burning briquettes seems to work. Overall for size expect compromise.

This lovely foldable BBQ is a gem... Purchased for my Dad, who loves camping and being in the outdoors. We gave it a go this week and he was delighted with its weight, how much he can cook on it, easy to erect and foldaway and comes with a lovely storage bag. Thanks Guys.
