I have a lot of electric fencing I need to maintain. Much of it is a heavy, very hard, high tensile stainless steel wire. This stuff makes a coat hanger look like bubble gum. It needs cutters of Rockwell hardness of 62-64. I needed an extra set of cutters for occasional use in fence repair. I keep one in each of the ranch atv's, and needed another one to keep in the pickup. These can get kind of expensive, so I looked over the selection of various less expensive models. I about gave up because all that listed the Rockwell number were in the 58 hardness range, which will NOT (I know from experience) cut that Gallagher stainless wire. This workforce model listed a hardness on 62-64, looked good, was priced where I wanted to spend, and had good reviews, so I ordered one. It appears as a well made, high quality tool, and cuts that wire very well. Time will tell the tale, but out of the box at least, I'm happy with it.

I have owned a pair of these for a couple years now and have used them a decent bit. I have used these a fair amount and they have held up remarkably well. They are compact enough for me to take them to work daily and do exactly what I need them to do. Unlike other versions which are often stamped metal, this pair is entirely forged, a much better design! Great deal especially considering the price point!

They work great but you have to squeeze them way too tight to lock the latch on them. Opening you then again have to squeeze very tight to open. Besides that the actual tool works great! Used it for dancing wire and even for some bail wire. Won’t work well with multi strand wire though such as multi strand woven cable. Works best with solid wire or cable.

This has been a great product so far and has easily cut through some very thick chain. I'm hopeful it will continue to perform well in the long term. Thank you!

They cut ok, but I wish I had bought a pair with longer handles.
