How to become a GCP architect that really knows how to build environments
I have been in the tech space for over 20 years and one of the biggest problems that I have seen recently is that people do not understand how to architect a solution. Techies typically understand how to configure a product work and maybe if we're lucky they have a topical understanding of architecture. The lack of true architecture skills is what is holding this industry back. This book will help you learn how to architect solutions in GCP (and arguably any cloud) in a way that allows you to securely scale your applications and your organization. I will warn you - this book will help you architect solutions....it is not a book that will teach you commands or how to configure the ins and outs of a service. But that is by design (remember this is an architect book). If you want that level of information - go read the manual (or read Medium). The two really great things about this book are 1) it is short and concise - you will not find filler content in this book. That is wonderful - I was able to knock out the entire book easily in a weekend and 2) its a great intro into Google Cloud.

Very useful and well written, a must read for the exam
I enjoyed this book a lot and I think it's very useful to make sure you're preparing the exam with the correct mindset. If you're looking for a reference book, it's not that. You have of course to integrate it with the GCP documentation and hands-on experience. However, it touches most of the topics and, most important, it really explains the correct mindset that you must have when approaching GCP exams, which are a bit different compared, say, to AWS exams, which are more based on pure notions. GCP exams are more based on reasoning and applying your knowledge and the book does a very good job in preparing you. It is also, as the author says, a book that prepares you not only for the exam but for the role itself. The point is: given how GCP exams are structured, these things are very similar. The questions are also developed to make you understand which is the philosophy of the real questions. So in the end it's definitely something you might want to read before the exam, if only to make sure that you're approaching it in the correct way and have all the basic necessary knowledge. Btw, I passed the exam, so it worked. :)

Enjoyable Studying
I was in a bit of a rush to complete the certification so I was focused on high priority chapters of the book. It was great content that got me what I needed. But that's not what makes this book great. The author communicates through analogies and storytelling the principles and not just the tech. With less of s time crunch I going to go back and read/reread the places in the book where the Author spent the time to breakdown the "why" questions and answers because he did it in a truly interesting way that connected with how I learn.Great resource that'll come back to again for sure.
