Everythign I purchased from Ulanzi has been high quality and well made. this pass through door for the GoPro is no exception. It works great, is simple to attach and basically does what it was designed to do.

Do not do what I did, which was assume this door clips on the exact same way as the official GoPro Hero 10 battery door does. The OEM battery door clips at the top and then snaps shut at the bottom. I tried to put this aftermarket cover on the same way, and the result is that it did not clip shut. I was getting completely frustrated until I happened to try hooking the bottom part on first and then used the shoe for the flash to lift the top end into place and that worked perfectly.Build quality seems great. metal parts no plastic. Fitment once I figured out how to put it on is great and I look forward to being able to make longer recordings without the battery causing the GoPro to overheat!

Feels super sturdy since it is an aluminum alloy, but it does not fit the best. Good enough for what I need though. I use to have access to the charge port while I record playing beach volleyball. Keeps it secure to having sand getting inside. It gets the job done and nothing majorly wrong with it, but I feel like there might be better ones out there. I like it and am keeping it. It definitely works if you do not want to take a gamble on another product.

Very happy with this door - in fact, it's even better than the door that comes on the original GoPro. It's much easier to take on and off I bought this and a third-party mic (Hollyland Lark) that attaches easily to the door and I saved a LOT of money instead of having to buy the media mod for the GoPro and other unnecessary accessories.Note that it does not protect the battery and SD card from water - you cannot submerge it and it won't work in the rain, but I needed a remote mic and this is a great alternative to dealing with all the GoPro expensive mods.I have the Hero11 Black.

I like to use my Hero 10 for long time-lapse video and also 'walk-n-talk' hiking clips. Carrying and charging extra batteries is inconvenient (and not helpful for long time-lapses) so I prefer to use monopod handle with USB charging built-in (Ulanzi also makes a couple of great options for that). This little door makes it possible to charge the Hero 10 (or 9) without having to remove the battery cover to access the USB port, or without having to get the expensive Media Mod in order to have an external USB port. I've find it to be the perfect solution for how I use my Hero 10. My only complaint is that it would be nice if it stayed attached to the top hinge-pin when you open it (like the original door does), but it doesn't. It comes all the way off easily when you unlatch it from the bottom. Definitely not a big deal...and I'd imagine this might even be preferable to some people. I just worry a little that I'm going to lose it sometime when I'm accessing the microSD card - though so far so good. Still, this is a 100% must-have for me.

Good product but overpriced

The latch will fit, but doesn't snap in place like the original cover for the gopro11, so be careful when you remove the cover. Other than that, the cold shoe mount, thread to mount for vertical videos, and open charging is a nice feature.

Use this if you are using the GoPro Hero9 without the media mod and not going underwater. But if you are just using the Hero9 as a regular camera or video camera, this is very helpful for two reasons, you do not have to open it up to plug in the charging wire, or connect it via wire to your computer to download the images.Big win on the easy unlatching and latching. Love that part about it, and the fact that it has the holder (forget the proper name) to attach an add on, I put a wireless transmitter in that spot.I looked back at what I paid for a door for the Hero8, it was the same, and that door is not equipped with the nice latch. I wish I had bought one of these for my Hero8.The reason I did not was because the picture of the door with the latch down, looked like it was not very sturdy. In reality, it is very sturdy and easy to use.If you are going to plug the camera into GoPro's media Mod, this will not be useful, but otherwise, yes, it keeps the battery in place, and it looks cleaner with the door on and closed. - The hole is perfect for the cord to plug in.I recommend this add-on for the GoPro camera (no matter what model you buy, just get the one sized for the camera you are using.

I bought this to use with my GoPro Hero 10, as I plug a powerpack into it for long walks. Does the trick, seals well. Haven't gotten to using the cold shoe or side screw yet, but I plan to. Can't go wrong for the price.

The items is good quality metal and open well with good access for power.However, it doesn't seem to stay on very tight and i found it often fell off..

but does a good job otherwise

I use this to run external power to a GoPro 10 while in use and it works very well. I've seen other reviews saying they find it fits loosely compared to the stock battery door and while that may be true this replacement battery door is not insecure by any means. The stock door is waterproof so it makes sense the battery cover would need to be a snug fit to keep the water out but with this cover everyone knows going in its a trade off of waterproof for functionality not provided by the stock part. I'm happy with my purchase.

This has got to be the most useless Gopro accessory I have ever bought !!! The idea is great however the cold shoe mount is such a bad design that when you put your GoPro Light Mod in the Mount it falls out as it isn’t properly designed, when you slight the light in it just slides out of the other side !!!!! Total waste of money and then your GoPro won’t be waterproof as there’s no cover for the micro USB port lol…….don’t buy this item, yea it’s cheap but get the GoPro Media Mod instead, this Mount is going in the bin/trash
