I love this camera backpack!
A friend of mine has one and after looking at it, I decided to replace my lowepro. I like my lowepro but the Shimoda has so many more great features. Plus, it can fit a lot more. It just makes sense when I’m hiking to my photo destination. I love that it has extra pockets on the straps and that I can carry a bottle of water with all my other gear. It’s got a adjustable torso too which is really nice. I also like the extra roll-top where I can store more items. Best purchase I’ve made in a long while.

Protected my gear during a 20ft tumble
I’ve been using this pack for the last 6mo in the Alaskan wilderness - it’s absolutely amazing to say the least. I’ve exposed it to so many harsh conditions and it’s holding up.My pack accidentally tumbled about 20ft down a steep ravine with all my camera gear in it. Pack was covered in mud but all the gear remained in great condition. Easy to clean given the exterior materials.I highly recommend

There is no perfect camera bag, but...
Serious photographers often stress over finding/using the perfect bag. Are you in the city shooting street or out in the "wild" looking for the perfect landscape? While this Shimoda can easily be used for both, it is best suited for the landscape photographer that will need to carry much more than just their camera gear. Apple room for all the essentials, this bag is insanely adjustable with all the options one could ever need. I can't think of a better, more well-designed, and constructed bag! This one is an absolute keeper!

Great camera bag for serious travelers and hikers
I compared the Shimoda X30 with the larger X50, and bags from several other brands. I finally chose the X30 with medium DSLR core unit V2. It meets (almost) all my needs to carry camera gears and travel worldwide.

Best travel camera backpack!!
Super comfy straps that take weight off shoulder, great size for both urban and outdoor settings and well thought out features. Looks like I can stop searching for the next camera bag (maybe until the v2 comes out)!
