Excellent quality!! USPS left it behind my garage in the rain. Luckily I found it before it got completely soaked.

This is honestly the best barely I have ever purchased. I was originally worried the grain would contain a lot of debre like rocks because I have purchased before and felt like my per pound price was mostly rocks per pound especially after reading some reviews, however I am here to put you at ease I am more satisfied with this company and their product than I have ever been with any purchase before. The product was quality I found 0 foreign contaminants such as rock or insects it got here quickly as well as packaged well I was afraid it would just be a bag with a shipping label but this company cared enough to bag it nicely and box it for safe shipping can not sing these praises enough truly great product 1000% will be a return customer

Good barley as well, cooks into a delectable side dish as a rice replacement if you're into that. On the expensive side but probably worth it if you can't easily get barley from a local spot.

Received product with numerous dark gray/black discolored grains throughout (see wet/dry photos). Contacted Great River Organic Milling Company regarding this disgusting-looking product, and the representative I spoke with requested that I send photos along with the lot number so they could refund or replace my order. After not hearing back from her after 10 days, I called again and was told that my email went to her spam folder (doubtful). At that point, she forwarded my email/photos to two other people within the company, one of whom responded via email to her (CC'ing me on the response) that this was "just a slight color variation". There was no further follow up from the company, so they clearly have no intention of refunding me for this very expensive animal-feed quality product (not that I would feed it to my animals, either).I have purchased a literal ton of pearled barley over the course of my lifetime and have never received any that looked anything like this product. This is in no way a "slight color variation"; it has every appearance of being old and rotten at best, apparently just like the company that produced it. It's disgusting. There is no way I would risk feeding this nasty-looking stuff to my family. Obviously, we will never purchase anything from Great River again. Terrible experience.

This brand is much better than the brand I was buying before. It is cleaner, no bugs like the other brand and it has a great flavor.

Quality grains. I use it to ground my own bread flour and to make wheatgrass. Ship quickly.
