This one-of-a-kind Anglican rosary, also used by Protestant Christians, features my handmade polymer clay focal beads and cross in Pantone's color of the year, merlot! The cross is two-sided (reversible). Its back is metallic gold clay with a calligraphy mica shift pattern. This means that the design is created by manipulating the mica grains in the clay to hold an embossed pattern even though the clay surface is smooth. It's a beautiful technique unique to polymer clay. Cross is signed on one edge. The colorful patterns inlaid in the clay, like leaves, spirals or asterisk stars, are specially constructed polymer clay canework, not painted on. The week beads are 10 mm moss agate, white with lovely green mossy blotches. Each one is different which makes us want to pick up this rosary and look at each bead. Additional components are tiny size 11 dark red transparent seed beads with silver linings for sparkle, and also 3 mm glass bicones in green metallic finish which reflects the light (you can see this in the photos.) Metal beads are gold-plated and antiqued gold finish pewter metal beads. Comes with brochure explaining the history of Anglican rosaries, how to use them, and sample prayers. Cross: 2 3/4" H x 1 3/4" W (6.9 x 4.5 cm). Rosary length: 16 1/2" (42 cm).
