This unit consumes battery's each month with normal use. I use rechargeable batteries, 4 ea, but it’s still a drain. Changing requires removing bottom battery cover. Either empty the container or keep it upright Changing batteries.The dispensed amount is not always the same. Some are larger and smaller with the same setting. I set it at the two dot mark and it is inconsistent.Overall tho, it conserves fluid, works when required. We like this unit and happy to have it. As stated the only real draw is battery change. Good unit, doe the job as designed.

At first, I thought I was going to have to return this soap dispenser because all it would dispense was air. Frustrated, I decided to stop messing with it until the next day. In the morning, for no particular reason, I stuck my hand under it and voila! Out came soap! So my advice would be, if it seems not to work at first, let it sit overnight and let the contents settle. There were a lot of bubbles in the soap/water mix from me jostling the dispenser around and this appears to be why I was only getting air out. Now I will mix the soap and water first and pour it in gently. Other than that, no complaints with motion detection or ease of use, and sturdiness remains to be seen.

TL;DR: this dispenser does the job well. It's on the pricier end of what's available on Amazon, but offers a bit extra value for the money.What I like about it:1. The lid of the opening where the soap, etc. goes closes very tightly. Might be a small thing, but if you ever had any spills of gel-like liquid, I think you'd appreciate it.2. It's wall-mountable. Small thing, but nice; especially if you have limited countertop space.3. Motor seems powerful. Description says you can use it with product of various thickness. I've only tried hand soap, but I definitely believe that it can handle thicker liquids.4. Visual cues about power level. The 4 little LEDs that show you what level you selected are definitely helpful.What I don't like about it:1. There is a vertical window on the front that's supposed to show the level of liquid. Might be user error or I just didn't add enough, but I cannot see the level.Other considerations:Going back to the motor being powerful. It's also a bit on the louder end and sounds like a duck quacking. I got used to it after a couple of uses, but we have another automatic soap dispenser and this one is definitely louder. That said, let's be real, it's not a jet engine or, worse yet, a Vitamix kind of must-wear-ear-protection-to-use. It's a small-motor-that-uses-4-AA-batteries kind of loud.All in all, it's a nice unit.

Update: After writing this review the company contacted me and send me a new unit. I am very impressed with their customer service. The new unit is working great. I will update again if there are problems. Hopefully, I just got a bad unit last time.We have been using this for almost 6 months. This product started out great but it has quirks: It just turns itself off for no reason and then turns itself on for no reason. The on and off is also the sensor buttons on the top, which also affect how much soap it puts out at one time. They don’t always work when you touch them. So you often can’t really control how much soap you get or if it is on or off. You just get what you get.When it is working, the motion sensor works, but over the months it has decreased the amount of soap you get. For example if it is set to 1 then the motor sounds when your hand is under the sensor, but no soap. If at 2, a little soap comes at the end. It’s a very frustrating product. Maybe we just got a dud.

Let me start off by saying that this is my personal opinion. Item is well built. Motion detector is flawed because you need to have your hands very close to sensor. Instead of having your hands at half the length of the item, you need to be about 1 inch away from it to activate. The settings for dispense are good and range from smal to very large out put. The wall bracket makes no sense because you would need to unscrew the device everytime you need to refill it. Also, the reservoir where the soap is contained creates a vacuum after several uses, meaning that with each use, a vacuum is created inside which then reduces the amount of soap dispensed. A simple solution is to just leave the reservoir lid slightly open. For what it costs, i expected it to be much better. Its ok yo have, but in my opinion, you can make due with a less expensive one.

I ordered a few other soap dispensers, but always ended up sending them back. Many of the others stopped working after a short time, had too small of a capacity, dispensed too little soap, or had problems with normal soap (advising the customer to water down soap).This unit is slightly bulkier than I wanted, but I don’t want to refill every week, so I guess it was a compromise.I like how it has 4 settings for the amount of soap dispensed (setting three was perfect for me). I hate it when you go places, and they squirt .0025 ounces of soap and I end up spending time waiting for 3-4 portions.The sensor is very consistent, and although I don’t love the bulk of the unit, it provides another benefit - the size/shape of the unit makes it where it’s difficult to trigger the sensor an accident.I initially bought the wood style to match my bathroom, but now am purchasing the stainless steel option for my kitchen.

Great product, even better support. The silver is really nice, and the woodgrain is really cool and unique in that it is so dark that it almost looks like a two-tone black woodgrain. While there was a bit of a hiccup with my first unit, customer support reached out quickly to resolve the issue. I would highly suggest this product, especially at this price, with such great product support.

Good product. Solid build. Had it for a few weeks and I'm happy with it.
