You might want to watch a "how to" video on YouTube
I read some reviews where folks said they had trouble launching these. I watched a how to video on YouTube and launched every one of them without help and they all worked perfectly. I think the trick is to let them fill with hot air until they are completely swollen then release them. You also want the wind to be as calm as possible. Even a slight breeze can blow the flame onto the paper and damage it. The paper is flame resistant but it is still rice paper and can easily catch fire. I believe this was a good purchase for me and I plan on buying more for ceremonies and celebrations. It was a lot of fun for me launching them.

Illegal to release/save the money
Don’t waste your money. Can’t fly them anywhere. There are only 2 states you can fly these out of and it’s looking like that won’t last much longer. Didn’t realize what a hazard these were before I purchased them for a loved one. Great idea but not worth the potential fire hazard. Fun concept but our planet can use a break from disasters for a bit....

We bought these to use as a memorial. A lot of the other family/friends there were having a hard time getting their lantern to light/lift. This one worked well. Remember you have to be patient, especially when it is windy out and it was very windy. BUT next year if we need them these will be what I order.

Great price and easy to use
I will purchase these every year I bought them last year for our son and I bought them again this year I totally recommend them they are A reasonable price for how big they are and they’re super easy to get to go up into the air and my kids love sending these to there baby brother you can write you loved ones name on them and send them up so I totally recommend them

I love these they are easy to use and it’s not hard to light up! You don’t have to worry about coming down catching anything on fire because it goes out after so long but it does float pretty high in the air

These are great
These were much better than I expected. To be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect because I’ve never used them before, but my fiancé/kiddos father passed away and we wanted to celebrate his birthday in a special way. We chose these because they were biodegradable and were very happy with them. They were much larger than I expected, but the kids loved them and know their daddy did too!

Exactly what we wanted
Purchased these for a celebration of life and they worked just as expected. All lanterns floated off in to the air with no problems. Someone even accidentally burnt a small hole in the side of one, but that didn’t prevent it from going up up and away as well. There is no metal in these which was an added plus. We wrote on it ours with markers and the material held up well.
