These olives were mushy and tasted nasty. I spit it out as soon as I'd put it in my mouth. Due to the event I was at, I didn't have time to go through the hassle of requesting a refund or what not.

I am shopping for food on line these days because of the Pandemic. I’m in a Covid-19 hot spot so I don’t go out much. I grew up on these olives. My parents used to make them. I searched Amazon for these and they are so good! This is how I prepare them. I pour out the liquid and reserve it. I soak the olives overnight in cold water. I prefer less salt flavor. Then in the morning I drain them and pour them in a glass bowl. I squeeze lots of lemon juice ( to flavor) and cut up 2 lemons in quarters and toss them in the bowl. I add really good EVOO that is first cold pressed. Then I add back 1/4 of the reserved juice. I put a lid on and keep them in the fridge. The top may get solid from the olive oil. But go underneath and they are great. If serving for company, take out of the fridge early in the day.The tart lemon is what I love. Just like what my mamma made growing up. I just wish they had a gallon size I could order!!! This is my second order from them.Thank you for having these in stock.

They arrived on time and were well packaged. Perhaps the spice blend or something was off, but found them extremely bitter and inedible. Ended up throwing them all out.

I tried too many online olives, I grew up in the Mediterranean area, this is the closest to what we are used to, good product, consistent quality

These are certainly different from your standard supermarket olives. If anything I would these "olives in the raw". They are lightly brined (no vinegar), firm and fresh - and not pitted. They actually have a slightly peppery flavor like a freshly pressed virgin olive oil. If you are not satisfied with just the basic flavor then they lend themselves well to be dressed to your liking: Lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, herbs, spices. And do what I am about to do if you want to remove the pits before marinating and eating: Get a pit remover device.

5 stars for the quality of the olives. 3 stars for quality check before shipping. I ordered 2 jars, both were wrapped perfectly but one of jars had a loose lid causing the brine to leak out, hence the 3 stars.

They were very well packed and arrived quickly- taste is good and fresh-good value if you are an olio lover
