Excellent game!
Why the game uses such a tiny gameboard, I can't figure out. But that doesn't take away from the big playability and replayability of this game. It's fast-moving, fun, and atmospheric. You can't help playing this game with a Western accent. Highly recommended. (Note for parents: A cowboy can use whiskey to heal wounds, although it's not explained exactly how. Also, of course, characters shoot and kill each other to win the game.)

Fun game
This is a fun game that puts you into the setting of a saloon brawl in the old west. It is simple to learn, and yet interesting to play. We made it even more fun by requiring that each player making a move had to state their intents/actions/motives "in character". Our game became a mini-theater!

5 This is a good fast-playing hand management game
3.5 This is a good fast-playing hand management game. Games are quick and fun if the players engage with one another. It can get to be a real slog if everyone opts to hide out and not make attacks. You may save your own skin, but you are also making the game slow and dull. With 4 players this should be playable in 20-30 minutes.

Tons of fun
This game is thematic and fast, easy to learn, and a blast to play. It's simple without being simplistic and is just a lot of fun. It is hands down my favorite game from Slugfest. My only complaint is the tiny board. If they'd do a deluxe edition with a bigger board I would buy it in a heartbeat. But don't let that keep you from picking up this excellent game. It is well worth having in your collection.
