Plantar Fasciitis (Heel Pain, Foot Pain) is a common, painful foot condition. Plantar Fasciitis occurs because of irritation to the thick ligamentous connective tissue that runs from the heel bone to the ball of the foot. Symptoms of Plantar Fasciitis may be worse early in the morning after sleep. At that time, the arch tissue is tight and simple movements stretch the contracted tissue. As you begin to loosen the foot, the pain usually subsides, but often returns with prolonged standing or walking. Night splints are worn to keep the heel stretched out while you sleep. This prevents the arch of the foot from contracting at night which helps reduce the morning pain. Sizing: Small/Medium Fits Women 6-10/ Men 5-9 Large/Extra Large Fits Women 10-15/ Men 9-13

Some problems, but glad I bought it.
I bought this because it is clearly much lighter and less intrusive (and cheaper) than just about every other option. The drawback is that it is not adjustable. I accidentally bought the woman's size. I am 6' and 180 pounds and this should have been under size but actually it is oversize for me - very strange. The toe straps were sized too long to function for me and I cut them off because they were annoying. With experience, I found that the bend was not sharp enough for me - that is, I needed the toes raised higher. I'm a techie and realized that I could make the bend sharper by inserting a pad on the outer surface of the bend. I did this by forcing a folded washcloth between the plastic frame and the cloth lining. This helped significantly. I would like to squeeze in a second folded washcloth to make the angle even sharper but the cloth lining is too tight for that. If I had a suggestion for the manufacturer, it would be to offer these with a set of insertable pads. After all, part of the healing process is to increase the angle as the tendons stretch.

Working alright for women's 6 1/2 after some trial and error.
I wear a women's 6 1/2 and I felt like this was too big. I even requested a return, but discovered that it has a small inflated pad over the ankle area that when removed, made the foot strap fit closer to my arch whereas before it was just barely going around my toes. It seems to be working for me though I still have some pain and manage to take it off in my sleep most nights.

Complete waste of time and money
Complete waste of time and money. Yoga three days a week should do the trick. Also many times the pain this claims to cure is cause by either over-training or not training at all.

Very disappointed.
I purchased this in November 2016 and have used it a couple of times. The Velcro over the foot does not hold. Very disappointed.

Seems to be working
My only reason for not giving all five stars is because I'm generally not able to wear the splint all night because it causes my foot to fall asleep. However it's comfortable and seems to be working.

Very comfortable, and not bulky like the one I was prescribed by my orthopedic office. Wearing it overnight results in my calf muscles and plantar connective tissue feeling stretched and I can walk better.

Relief!
I have only worn this for 5 nights, but even after the first night, I was able to get out of bed in the morning without hobbling around and with no pain!
