1080p Full HD Extreme Sports Action Camera "ProView HD II" - 1080p, Waterproof Case, HDMI, 4 Mounting Accessories and a FREE Mini Tripod

After researching, reading reviews & comparison to GoPro; I made a leap of faith and order Extreme Sports camera. My main concern was price. I was simply looking to find a underwater video camera for my daughter's birthday swim/pool party. I didn't want to spend too much on a camera that I will only use occasionally. I am so glad I ordered this camera. My reasons for 5 star: 1) the camera overall look & feel is excellent. It's made well and the plastic is higher quality than what I've seen out there (you know, the flimsy cheap looking plastic). This looks and feels solid. The case is well made and is air tight/no leakage. I spend about 2 hours in the pool filming and the camera was well protected. 2) Ease of use. Ok, I have to agree with other reviewers. The manual is really just a diagram of the component parts and basic instruction to turn on/off. The manual offers no real instructions on how to navigate the menu and etc. However, I found a YouTube reviewer from UK on an older model of the same camera and it helped me figure out how to navigate & use all the functions of the camera. Being that I was unfamiliar, I was reluctant to mess with the menu without getting some info but when I saw the YouTube reviewer's walk-thru demo, I had a 'duh' moment. It's rather intuitive and basic menu navigation (similar to most digital camera today). Once that was dealt with, I find the camera to be quite easy to use and set-up. [I think if I wasn't so fearful of breaking it or messing up the program, I am sure I would have figured out how to use it on my own. Being that I got the camera a day before the party, I didn't want to mess it up and be unable to capture any underwater footage of the kids.], 3) Picture Quality. It has amazing HD quality. It is by far, much better quality image than GoPro and a fraction of the price. I filmed my daughters and her friends swimming underwater and it came out beautiful. The quality of image was superb - crisp and clear.Overall, I am happy with the purchase and feel this is the best deal for the money. The picture quality was so good that I want to film more underwater footage.

This is an excellent camera, the only problem I've had was that the screen was upside down. After playing with the setting menu I have found that choosing the rotation "on" corrects the screen rotation problem. I think that the manual should have a section describing the setting up menu for those who are not familiar with it.

Absolutely terrible. The SD card slot didn't work so the card wouldn't stay in and then when it did stay in the camera wouldn't read it. Then, it started to overhear while the card was in and burned my fingers.

Good video quality, although 30fps in 1080p is noticeable when taking fast moving action shots. One nuisance is when the video camera is in the housing there is a high pitch sound in the recording. If it wasn't for this high pitch sound I would give the product full set of stars. The remote doesn't work, which I suspect may be the battery is either dead or loose in its compartment. Not a big deal as I don't need it.

Arrived promptly via Amazon Prime. All parts and components present. Including the little tripod with the flex legs. As stated the manual is lacking. Poor translation. But, with some exploring you can figure it out. The charger is not for U.S. plugs. It does include a converter to plog it in. Very clunky and just stacks under the charger. Go and buy a USB charger. Cable build quality seems good. Rear weatherproof cover is tight. Takes a bit to open it. Plugged it in to a charger and fired it up. With screen up and mount pointed down the image was upright and the menu was upside down!! If the image rotation was turned on, it reversed!! Menu up and image upside down!! This is related to the G-sensor. Evidently if it is on, whatever position the DVR is inwhen turned on becomes upright. Not quite sure. But, turn off the G-Sensor feature and the Menu flipped over and aligned with the image. Will be reporting on the function and quality after I get it mounted on my motorcycle. Feels and appears like a quality unit. The rotatable screen will be nice for aiming on the bike.

Excellent action camera, i was really surprised by the quality, also the recording time was very acceptable, moret han 2 hours of continious recording in one charge. many useful option inside set up, motion detection and steady cam.

good underwater video. Because the lens is curved, you can't do anything close up on land or it looks like a weird fish eye lens, so it doesn't work at all for one of the two purposes we bought it for. The instructions are very brief and incomplete. Ours is set to shoot upside down and we have not been able to figure out how to flip the image, which means it's either awkward to hold the camera upsidedown or impossible to use on the the little tripod. If anyone knows how to flip the screen, I've run out of buttons to push to try to figure this out.

The media could not be loaded.  This worked just as good or better than many higher priced action cams. My cousin who has a go pro was surprised at the quality from this camera so he bought two for his sons. So all I can say is Fantastic Cam at a Fantastic Price. So far so good this cam has been performing extremely well, I have taken it underwater , biking , driving, flying you name it and it stands up to all the punishment. Only problem I have so far is the battery life which could be a bit longer. But as a dash cam just plug it it and just keep driving.We are in 2016 and this Camera is still going strong. No complaints so far, it has truly justified the 5 Stars i gave it. I use it every day.Update: 2nd March 2018. Well it finally died and this was due to keeping it out in the sun for too long. I use it as a dash cam so the Sun did work with the Battery. Imagine the battery was swollen and the thing still worked. All in all it did its time and gave me a lot of fun memories. If they were still selling this I would buy another one.
