Batter Dispenser Pen for Cakes, Pancakes, Cupcakes, Crepes, and Etc. with BONUS Molds

I bought this to make pancakes for my grandson. It is best to add a little extra water to the batter so that if flows easily in the mold. The mold will keep the pancake from spreading out too much. The pancakes turn out beautifully. The dispenser is well made and easy to use. Other reviews said the the molds did not flatten out. I did not have that problem the molds worked perfectly. At this price the molds are practically free.

Bought this for my 10 year old niece and she loves it. Pancakes are her specialty and she loved that she could use the molds or make her own designs. In the 5 days that I was home, she made pancakes several times.

It is much easier to use this pen to pour the batter into a wafflemaker, a cakepop maker or to make pancakes. Less spilling and serves as a storage container in the fridge incase you have leftover batter.The forms are not that useful since the batter doesn't stay inside and will leak

This is the thing EVER!!!! We had so much fun making all shapes of pancakes! The molds were easy to use and the pancakes released easily from them. Making letters and spirals was soooo fun. The clean up was so easy, too. Pop it all in the dishwasher! Can't say enough good things about this!!!

We do LOTS of baking in our (allergy free) home. Some of our batters are more of a pain to work with and all of them are created as projects and family activities, involving our houseful of little people. I LOVE having kitchen helpers, but when it comes time to fill the cupcake liners or pour batter of any kind, I have usually had to make a choice of either accept a horrendous mess will ensue...or cut off the help at that point and announce that I would finish. (Sadly I usually chose the latter, much to the disappointment of my little helpers).With this awesome batter dispenser, I have been having my little helpers work with me all the way up to popping the creation into the oven. They are so very very excited to be able to participate a little further into the process and I am ecstatic to be able to let them without having a huge mess to clean up afterward!The design of this dispenser is both simple and brilliant. It is a silicone tube essentially...and a somewhat thick silicone, so it has some substance to it and can stand up on its own. Then it has a bottom that screws into place and a top with an open spout that also screws on. (It has a storage cap that covers the open top, too) When I finish mixing up whatever is going in the dispenser (Cupcake batter, pancake batter, Crepe batter, scrambled egg mixture, etc) I load as much batter as will fit into the tube (about 3 & 1/2 cups) by removing the top with the spout and pouring in my mixture. Then, I reattach the top and with gentle squeezes, the kids are able to dispense perfectly with very minimal drips! LOVE IT!!The pros of this dispenser for our family are:- Perfect silicone thickness...stands up, but squeezes easily- Helps avoid extra mess when cooking and baking- Dishwasher safe (a must-have for us!)- Cleans thoroughly because of the removable top and bottom- Well designed pour spout flares out and helps avoid drips- Storage cap for letting certain batters set in the fridge, like our crepe batter and pancake batter- Adorable silicone molds included for making fun pancake/egg creationsCons:- Thicker batters stick to the inside of the tube (we use spatula to scrape down), but some batter is lost. Since we are allergy-free that means most of our ingredients are more expensive than crack, and I try to get every drop of batter into a mold or baking device...I had to realize the trade-off of no globs of dough wasted on the counter (or disappointed eager workers leaving too soon) makes the batter left behind well worth it.Our kids have a new favorite breakfast item now with the molds. I mix up some scrambled eggs and dispense them into the bonus molds included in this set and make 2 of each design for each child. On the second round of making the shapes, I add ingredients like I would for an omelet and then top it with the other corresponding shape....for example I make a set of scrambled egg mix using all 3 molds (and I use other molds that I already had so I can make a full family set in one fell swoop). I set those aside and make another set (I wipe off the molds first if there is any cooked egg stuck to them, using a paper towel with a little bit of grapeseed oil on it) When the second set it about done, I peel off the molds and add the omelet toppings. Then I add the matching shape as a top to it. The kids LOVE them! It is more fun for them than the traditional omelets we often do, but it is also more work and they can pack away a few of them... That is why I make a whole griddle full of the shapes to begin with, so it makes the process a little faster. (Incidentally the teddy bear and our own Gingerbread man shapes are the favorite...should this worry me that they delight in biting off the ears/head/etc?) ha haWe LOVE this set and it really helps our little ones to be involved in the cooking/baking process for longer than they really have been able to before.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
