I traveled to Morocco and the Moorish parts of Spain last summer and while there I filled my camera and imagination with the plethora of patterns and motifs that I encountered. Doorways, textiles, decor and housewares were all covered in a multitude of inspiring shapes and curves. The pendant in this sterling silver necklace is inspired by a recurring pattern I saw in both Morocco and southern Spain, with my modern interpretation. The pendant is constructed of four separate pieces of rectangular wire that we individually saw and solder together into a shape that was inspired by our travels. Four sterling chains with brass beads dangle from each bottom point of the pendant. I gave it a charcoal patina for contrast and to add definition to the details. ** This necklace is completely handmade and constructed by our two pairs of hands in our studio outside of Boulder, Colorado. ** Metal(s) - sterling silver, brass cube beads Length - 1 1/4" (31 mm) Width - 5/8" (16 mm) Fringe - 3" (7.5 cm) at longest drop Chain - 24.5" (62 cm) Finish - matte and lightly oxidized with charcoal patina ** The necklace pictured is not the exact one that you will receive, but it will be the same design.
