Dragons are not the same as advertised. Tie is a peice of string not leather as it is advertised. With that said nice product for price.

The media could not be loaded.  When combined with a black light marker and a black light flashlight, this is the prop you’ve been looking for in either your tabletop role-playing game or your murder mystery dinner. If you have a steady hand, this would also be wonderful for writing a special gift of your stories, poems or memoirs with a nice speedball pen, or fountain pen.

All three journals I ordered came from the "brown" listing, but the shades between then all was inconsistent. I'm anticipating my hands getting smudged up from the two darker ones as the leather dye rubs off. One of the three is somewhat warped, and I'm unsure yet if that's due to shipping or if the front and back cover don't have equal measurements. The paper is nice and tightly bound, and is great for pen and pencil sketching. The clasps seem to be in good condition, though possibly the tiniest bit loose if I'm nitpicking.

The pictures does not do this Journal justice. So much better in real life. The bunding is just so good. Has the whole old school binding. The feel and the smell of real leather is just so heavenly. The whole quility is just so pristine.

It’s great with the thick paper, the leather cover, old fashioned binding, and aged motif. The only thing I would say against it, and I’m not a historian so take it for what that’s worth, is the pages being bound in sections. Totally a minor gripe. However, this book works exquisitely well for what I ordering for.

I ordered the “vintage brown” for my daughter and it came exactly as described. The only thing that threw me off when I opened it was a long strand of black hair which was wrapped around a page. My hair’s not black, so it grossed me out. I still wouldn’t take a star away from that as the product itself was fantastic! Highly recommend!!!

The photos make it seem as though the leatherwork is high relief, when in actuality it is stamped, the inner flaps are undyed and unfinished and it is wrapped with a string, not leather cord like the photos show.It is not exactly what I was expecting from the photos, which is a disappointment, but it is does have the correct design and is a decently built journal that will work as intended. I'm just annoyed by what I take as false advertising.

I'm afraid I basically recieved an entirely different book..yes it has two dragons on the front..but not as detailed, not as large, and the back and front on the book itself is dominated more by floral patterns than anything. I don't ever give reviews, but I felt I had to share that the book I received, does not appear to be the one that is shown in the image advertising it. The only plus side is that I expected it to arrive at the end of next month and got it today.

This isn't HAND TOOLED at all. This is machine stamped. My book came with a faded impression of dragons on one side and a celtic design (unwanted/expected) on the other.
