MuddyfoxRBS100 Mens Cycling Shoes

An unquestionable bargain it would seem.
As a noob to road riding, I didn't want to go mad with my first pair of road shoes. For £30, I figured I had nothing to lose really, if nothing else they would highlight why I might want to spend more. With the various comments on sizing, I opted to order two sizes and then return the least comfortable. I can say that so far, after a couple of hundred miles, they seem to be money well spent. Still showing on the Muddy Fox website for £90, I'd say that they are easily worth the £30 paid. They seem well put together, stiff in the right places but ultimately very comfortable for at least an hour and a half's riding. I had a minor off and they survived very well with only superficial scratches. The fact that the heel pad on the sole is not replaceable as it is on more expensive shoes means that they may not last too long if you do a lot of walking in them, but that is probably true of any cheap shoe. All in all, a cheap and comfortable toe in the water.

Good introduction to SPD cycling
These shoes are completely priced. I purchased as an introductory route to using SPDs. I’m a UK size 12, & purchased likewise. Good fit, no issues. The SPD cleats fitted well (purchased separately). I’ve done Circa 150 Miles in these shoes, with no issues. Happy

Full review of this lovely, well priced shoe.
A great first (or second) shoe for anyone getting into cycling...Fitting: After reading reviews on Amazon I became worried that I may need to order a size larger because a fair few people said they didn't fit! However, I ordered my size and they fitted perfect. I'm a wide foot size 10.5 and so ordered size 11 UK and had no trouble with the fitting. I would say order bigger size if you have had trouble with other everyday shoes sizes, just to be safe otherwise i'm sure you'll be OK. All in all this is a comfortable shoe with straps that allow you to fit to your foot. 9/10 for fitting.Note: I had a hard time fitting Shimano cleats with the screw Shimano supply so I used the screws supplied with the Muddyfox shoe which are fine.Colour: These shoes stand out big time. other reviews say they are not as green as shown in photos which may be true however I would say they look more of less like the photo, not a shiny maybe. The colour works perfectly with my bib and shorts which have yellow/green luminous design so i'm all colour coordinated 10/10 for colour.Material: Looking at these online, I thought they were fairly tuff/hard but the material is soft and flexible so that was a present surprise. 9/10 for quality.Price: Like the guy in Employee of the Month says; Don't think about it, Buy it!All in all a great shoe for the price

Great value, good quality.
Reduced from 89.99 to 29.99 according to the price label on the box. Good quality road shoes, light, stiff sole. Easy to fit any type of cleat with access to the back of the fixings via a panel in the insole. I usually take size 10 or sometimes 11 (depending on style/maker of footwear). I bought size 11 of this shoe, and they are just about big enough for my feet, so as I've read elsewhere, you should order a size larger than normal for cycle shoes. Recommend as a first clipless shoe, or for anyone who can't justify spending £100 on a pair.

Good shoes, but I don't like them
OK, I need to say up front this is my FIRST pair of cycling shoes and I didn't really appreciate what I was buying, so a bit of background...I've been using my Cannondale hybrid weekly for short trips to the shops etc but in the last couple of months I started to use it seriously, every day for weight loss. I got on well and wanted to go a bit further, and faster which lead me on to purchase a road bike (only a Halfords Carrera, not a Cannondale this time!). My friends have been into into cycling longer and both them, and the shop assistants, recommended proper cycling shoes and pedals.I picked these as they were "road" cycling shoes for my road bike, and they were a known brand but fairly cheap. They arrived really quick in a proper Muddyfox box they are really decent quality. I ordered size 10.5 when I'm normally a 10, and I would say that's perfect. People were saying cycling shoes do tend to be bit tight and these nipped slightly on one foot on my first ride but that disappeared by the 2nd ride out and the fit is great. They are summer cycling shoes and as such well ventilated, so I wouldn't expect them to be warm or waterproof in colder, wetter seasons, but I would avoid riding then anyway :-)My friends ride SPD cleats and pedals, not the SPD-SL ones now recommended for road bikes, so I went for the same. The two hole SPD cleats fitted on fine, it looks like you could attach most cleats to these. They have a little access flap inside the shoe so you can hold the plate while you tighten it, and as I said they really are good quality and well designed. They have a hard sole which you need in a cycling shoe yet remain comfortable on the bike.So why the 3 stars? I can't honestly say I like them or love them but its partly my fault and personal preference. On the bike these work well, although I am new to "clipless" pedals and shoes and they need some adjusting and getting used to....Off the bike...They are nightmare, the SPD cleats clack loudly and it feels like walking on some sort of reverse high heel! Walking on concrete will quickly destroy the cleats and walking on hard floors or tiles is a pretty scary experience. However, this would be true of most road shoes, especially with SPD cleats, on reflection SPD-SL cleats with caps fitted would probably be better. So 3 stars because I don't really like them, but actually if you know what you're buying ( I didn't ) and you want a decent, budget road bike shoe, these would be hard to beat.

Una buena compra
Me ha gustado la rapidez del envio y la buena calidad de la zapatilla. La talla, pedí un número 43, usando un 42, y menos mal. Me queda perfecta

Bonito, cómodo a buen precio.
