Ja Rule - R.U.L.E.
It's 2004, Ja Rules 6 years into the game and now he's 6 albums deep in his catalog. On "R.U.L.E.," the follow-up to 2003's "Blood in My Eye," Ja is out to prove once again that he can dominate the album charts and radio spins with his news hits. "Wonderful" was taking over the radio while "New York" was taking the streets by storm. Can Ja make a comeback or will he go deeper into the dirt?1. The Inc (Intro) - No Rating2. Last of the Mohicans (Featuring Black Child) - 4/53. Wonderful (Featuring R. Kelly & Ashanti) - 4/54. What's My Name - 3/55. New York (Featuring Fat Joe & Jadakiss) - 5/56. Stripping Game (Skit) - No Rating7. The Manual - 4/58. Get It Started (Featuring Claudette Ortiz) - 3.5/59. R.U.L.E. - 4/510. True Story (Skit) - No Rating11. Caught Up (Featuring Lloyd) - 3.5/512. Bout My Business (Featuring Caddillac Tah, Black Child & Young Merc) - 4/518. Passion - Talks For the Last 3 1/2 Minutes - 4/5Overall:56/704 StarsThis album is filled with both radio tracks and some street tracks. While it does have it's downs, it also has its ups as well. On majority of the tracks Ja's lyrics keep you listening and the production is pretty nice to go along with them. Some of the hooks lacked because they sounded too popish but almost all the tracks were still enjoyable.

6th Ja album is good - 4.5 stars
After being criticized up and down for turning soft "the rapper that sings" releases his sixth album in as many years (the last 5 Falls) and it doesn't disappoint me. Only has about 2 songs that I skip and the rest are good, even the slower ones. Not as "hard" as "Venni Vetti Vecci" or "Blood in my Eye" it is probably his second best (behind "VenniVettiVecci"). Has no real disses and the album isn't geared toward getting on other rappers, he delivers a solid album and this should get him some more recognition and boost his rep (Which has been falling the past 3 years). It has 1 classic, 1 near classic, 2 I skip, 4 ok songs. Production is good, Jimi Kendrix & Irv do 8, Chink Santana & Irv do 4, DJ Twinz and Cool & Dre do 1 each as well. A Must have album.#2 - 9.5 (gangsta track f/ Black Child)#3 - 7 (F/ R. Kelly)#4 - 6.5#5 - 9 (f/ Jadakiss & Fat Joe)#7 - 7.5 (slower/deeper song - about women who turn to other ways to make they money)#8 - 7#9 - 8#11 - 7.5 (f/ Lloyd - for the ladies)#12 - 10 (classic gangsta song f/ Black Child)#13 - 8.5#14 - 8.5 (f/ Trick Daddy & Chink Santana - deep song dediacted to their fallen homies)#16 - 7 (slower song f/ Lloyd)#17 - 9 (gangsta track f/ Caddillac Tah, Young Merc, Black Child)#18 - 4.5 (slow song)Jeffrey Atkins -- b. 2/29/76 -- Hollis, Queens,NYCheck all my reviews

Probally his third best
This is the 6th album from Mr.Ja Rule and I am ready to see how it stacks up.I must admit that Ja Rule is one of my guilty pleasures in rap I usually liked his material."Last of the Mohecans" is a nice song with a nice beat. The next track features Ashanti and R.Kelly and it is not "Wonderful" because it is a little to mainstream."Whats my name" was okay but not the best."New York" is just a great song."The Manuel" is very catchy and I like it."Get it started" has an interesting beat and not to terrible lyrics on it."R.U.L.E." not like Reign but not to terrible neither."Caught up" This one could also be a single not to terrible."Gun Talk" is another standout track on here."Never Thought" has some nice lyrics."Life Goes on" not the 2Pac track but a dope one."Where Im from" the best probally pretty sad tear jerker song."Bout my Bussiness" a little to much like his last album to street and not street like Venni Vetti Vicci."Passion" is the last song he sad but not like the one from before but this prooves to be a good one.Lyrics 8 Production 8 X Factor 8 Classic 8 Replay 8Total=8 out of 10 Fingers either his 3rd are 5th best.1.Where I'm from2.New York3.Gun Talk4.Life goes on5.Last of the MohecansThis album got better as it went on that is for sure
