My boy took to sleeping on the couch a few weeks ago. He's like his Momma and likes a softer bed. I don't blame him. I've met rocks that were more comfortable than the mattress on his bed. Being a single mom with a car, the commonly accepted concept of going to the store and picking up a mattress wasn't really a possibility. Those I checked with were charging a delivery fee. Not only was this mattress cheaper, it came with free delivery. And, the added coolness factor of arriving rolled up.The mattress experience is much like popping open a can of biscuits. I've attached pictures of the process for you to see. The final photo is just after it was unpacked and doesn't show quite the full loft of the bed but it's close. This bed is fantastic. Not only was it economical and convenient, it is soft but supportive at the same time. Not sure how they did that but he's back to sleeping in his room tonight.The mattress arrives in a box. A box that is deceptively heavy. This is a well made mattress. Despite the cost and the fact that it arrives in such a small bundle, it is a substantial mattress and actually weighs quite a bit more than the mattress he had prior. When you open the box, you'll find it is is a nice thick plastic carrying bag, all zipped up and ready to transport wherever you need to go. I carried it to his room, removed it from his packaging. Not a single mar on the mattress despite the transport. It is so well packaged, that there's literally no chance that it will get wet or damaged without some major and I do mean major mishap happening.When you remove the Closeout Comfy Twin Mattress 8 Inch from the carrying bag. It is packaged in yet more layers of protective wrap. You remove an outer layer of very thick plastic that has been vacuum sealed. After you remove that layer, there is yet another layer of plastic underneath the nylon straps that hold in into the rolled up shipping position. This is where the part about the canned biscuits comes in.When you remove those straps, this joker springs free and pops out in the shape of a mattress! That is when you when you will find the final layer of protective wrap. After you remove that, you wait about 48 for it to plump up and you're ready to go.I'm a bit dumbfounded that the technology exists to reduce a mattress down to a size that it can be shipped in a simple box the size that will fit easily in pretty much any car trunk.We are beyond pleased with our purchase. Not only is it a substantial and well made product, it is also a novel way to address a real need out there in buying a mattress.
