It fits loose it's not fitted to your figure. I wear an 8 and the medium was loose. If you're looking for a dress that's form fitted this is not the choice

Not true to size chart
The size is absolutely not true to the size chart. I’m usually an L, returned for a M, still too big and purchased a Small now. Too much of a hassle to get the correct sizing!
