Provence Herbs for Pizza from France in crock 7oz

After trying Aux Anysetiers' Herbs de Provence, I ordered the Herbs Special Pizza to try as an improvement over McCormick's. No disrespect to them; I use a lot of their products, but these spices are stronger and more flavorful. The spices came in the little crock, which got everyone's attention when they saw it, but as noted by others, you might as well keep them in a bag or other sealed container to protect the freshness and strength of the spices. The crock looks nice... and that's it. I keep mine in the baggie inside the crock. I've baked these spices into my pizza dough and bread and they do a great job. I also add them to pizza sauce, spaghetti sauce, and other dishes. I wish they came in larger bags, because I could make these go fast.

Absolutely love the crock...I refill it with other pizza spices after I finish all the included pizza spices in this crock. A great staple for my kitchen!

I bought this product because I had purchased a crock of these pizza spices years ago at Williams Sonoma and they no longer carry it. The crock looks newer than the original, but same great size and shape. I have been mixing my own replacement herbs as refills. The product is advertised as seven ounces, but in truth it is only the one ounce size. Still, the price was even a few dollars less than the one ounce size offered on amazon, so it was still a great deal. The crock does say "7 oz." on the label. I guess if you use your imagination, it could be a styish "1" but it sure looks like a seven, so that is how amazon has it listed. We make our own pizza every week, and these spices are part of the tradition. I will be buying more of these crocks to give as gifts!
