Worked Perfect for My 01 Tahoe
It fits great. Wasn’t too hard to install. Comes with harness clips so you don’t need to buy a separate item. This is the same as the Best Buy Dash kit they will sell you for $199.Tips:Dash Clips provided do work fine. They are hard to attach but if you push one side down fully then pull the long metal piece the opposite direction both sides WILL attach fully.Doesn’t mention that it comes with plastic harness pieces but it does.Does NOT have the screws included and both Ace and Lowe’s hardware stores couldn’t find the right screws easily. Had to take my stereo and harness inside to find the right screws. Strange sizes apparently.

2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cab upgrade
Very happy with this kit. Watched several videos before pulling the trigger on this upgrade. Added a 7” double din stereo and it looks good. No issues with the fit. Installing was a little tough but everything clipped nicely. Make sure you put everything the way you want it before putting the dash kit. You don’t want to have to remove again as things could break and affect the product.

Great product, clips improved, still needs a little help during install
I wanted to upgrade my 2002 Silverado to a double DIN stereo many years ago but couldn't because this product didn't exist (or I didn't know about it). I was very happy to see that Metra came out with this product. I had seen Youtube videos where people had pulled dash parts from 2003 models to convert the 2001/2002s to double DINs but was not prepared to do this myself. It is a good product and I am overall satisfied with the fit and function of the product.I give this 4 stars because of a two issues:It is a smooth finish dash panel which isn't exactly like the factory dash panel. Perhaps manufacturing the dash panel to the finish of the original would have been prohibitively expensive. (IDK)I had read in some previous reviews that Metra was using cheap plastic clips for the dash panel, my product came with metal clips so good job Metra for listening to previous reviews and upgrading your fasteners. However, the metal fasteners still required some dressing to make them work. The metal clips that push onto the back of the replacement panel were not tight enough to appropriately grip the dash panel and remain securely fastened. I had to use diagonal pliers "dykes" to further compress the metal fasteners so that they stayed securely fastened.A little more detail in the installation instructions could have improved the install experience. I wanted to minimize the amount of removal of the rear shelf so it involved several iterations of install and remove to figure out how much backbrace to remove. A little more detail in the installation instructions would have helped. Fortunately, in the Youtube world, I was able to learn from other people's install.

Excellent customer service
When this item arrived, the finish was pealing.I talked with them Friday morning September 3, I got my replacement on Saturday the 4th. The second one was flawless and I couldn’t believe how fast they took care of it. The fit was good, I reused my old clips as the new ones look cheap. Overall very satisfied with product and customer service

Good alternative to modifying stock trim.
I wasn't excited about cutting or trimming the factory trim piece, which brought me to this item. Like others have stated, the included retainers are not an exact fit, most all of them would not hold on to the trim piece or could be pulled off with minimal effort.Instead of trying to remove and re-use the factory clips (as they are attached very well), I used a pair of diagonal wire cutters and slightly "crimped" the clip where the notches are that should bite into the trim piece. See attached photo, I tried my best to show how and where I crimped the retaining clip. After doing this, the clips now attach firmly to the trim piece, and still stuck to it after installing and removing the trim piece a few times to make adjustments.

Nice bezel but where's the rest
Not going to lie I'm pretty disappointed that I spent this kind of money and it doesn't come with the clips or the mount for the stereo.

Worked perfectly
Worked and fit like it should, supplied clips held well but it cracked after taking it on and off a couple times. Not as strong as the original but still well made with a good fit.

Perfect fit for my 2002 Silverado 2500HD.
This dash kit worked well for the installation of my Jensen 710. I got the black one. I used SEM graphite paint colour to match with my existing dash colour.A couple of installation tips follow:I installed the brackets semi semi-tight to check the fit, then put the dash in place without clips to check fit and alignment. Afterwards, I removed one screw and used a counter sink with the blunt end of the drill bit extended so that it fit in the screw hole without chewing up the threads. The screws provided with the radio are countersink type and barely long enough to get into the radio. The countersinking allows the screws to bite deeper, and hold the bracket in position on the radio frame. A little blue loctite keeps the screws in position. The clips that come with the dash are not very heavy gauge. I squeezed the end that attaches to the dash kit a bit to prior to installation ensure the little teeth gripped the plastic. Masking, degreasing and painting were standard. Prepped by washing with dish soap, rinsed, and wiped with alcohol. I removed the little foam bits from the old dash and stuck them onto the 4 posts that bump up against the instrument plexiglass. The only installation issue was when one of the clips bent. I didn’t ensure that it was aligned before pressing it into place. Sorted it out, and it fits well.

The double din fits like a charm
The double din fits like a charm, In the 2000 Silverado, love the brackets that come with it very helpful for install/removal! Only reason i didnt give it 5stars is because the top of the bezel to the dash doesnt sit flush
