Micro's most energetic album
I am a long-time fan of DJ Micro. In my opinion, his most riveting music came out around the turn of the millenium (1998-2002). There's a certain intensity in his music from that time period that I rarely find in that of others. I think that this is one of his best albums. I would say it is tied with his Tech-Mix 2000 and Music Through Me, part of his holy trinity. In particular, tracks 1, 3-6, 10, and 11 are quite memorable. This album is Micro's most energetic album. His Tech Mix and Tech Mix 2.0 also have some fine cuts.

Ignore the other reviews - This album set a precedent for trance.
One of the greatest albums of all time. Any bad reviews were probably comparing it to music today, which will obviously have better production. Only 11 tracks but they are all incredible. From the first track "emotions", to the (in my opinion) best version of BT's Dreaming ever produced. Has lots of different types of trance. Bought it when it first came out, is still amazing in 2011.

Some AWESOME tracks but overall nothing remarkable
OKay so I picked this CD up a while ago after listening to it At a bookstore and being totally surprised by how awesome songs 1 4 and 9 sounded. SAdly two months later those are basically the only songs that are any good on this CD. Tall Pauls FReebase is annoying repetitive and just noisy: same goes for song 7. LEt me also add that most djmixed albums present really new songs to listeners. THis one....uhhh....lets see. PVD TEll me Why and BT dreaming just doent cut it. To make things worse the mixes of both are not as good as the original and Dreaming goes on for 11 some minutes! What made give this CD 3 stars then? WEll songs 1 4 and 9. THey are incredibly amazing obvious hits: classics really. TOtally get you excited about life and ready to do whatever. SO in the end perhaps not worth picking up if youre into good sets: on the other hand maybe its worth it just for those three songs.

wow... this is really aweful
this kind of annnoying 4 by 4 on the floor crap makes me wanna puke. i can't believe that anyone would give this cd a rating of 5 stars. DJ micro is the biggest hock of the mixing community. the day he produces something ORIGINAL himself thats worth listening to is the day that i might consider giving him some credit. the only song on this cd even worth mentioning is paul van dyk's "tell me why" and your better off buying his cd "out there and back" which is arguably one of the best self-produced trance albums ever.oh yeah... the AK1200 "drowning" remix is a disgrace to the original version of that song... i can't even listen to it for 40 seconds without switching the track.DJ Micro needs to mature his style and analyze trends in the progressive trance and house community without breaking down to the demands of his cheeseball 14 year-old glow-stick waving fan base... by expanding his vision and exploring outside of the realm of NRG and epic trance. Instead of being one of those pop trance DJ's that just plays the hitz and regurgetates them on to mix cds he could begin to garnish respect as an artist and a musician. This cd has the energy of Van Dyk... but none of the originality and artistic flair. i give him two stars cuz his mixing skillz are second to none but skip this one for something else unless you JUST LOVE this kind of pooh.

It could of been better, but it's still enjoyable
When I first picked up Micro's addition to the DJmixed.com series my expectations were extremely high. But after playing it through I wasn't completly sure where I stood, though I did enjoy the album. The problem was some tracks seemed to go nowhere or would have a long build up, which eventually lead to nothing. In retrospective though I realized that if I hadn't heard his excellent "Tech-Mix" series I probably would of enjoyed this one alot more. Though it does not bare a striking resembalance to his other albums you can still tell it's Micro behind those turntables, and that's enough to sell me on any of his albums.
