I love the Indigo Girls
I love the Indigo Girls! Most of the songs on this compilation were unfamiliar to me, although I have ?all? of their other albums. I especially love Cold as Ice, Winthrop & It Won't Take Long. Their rendition of Uncle John's Band is lots of fun.

Not typical Indigo Girls
The Indigo Girls are exploring new vistas. Hey they have been together for almost 25 years and need to expand and explore. I enjoyed it. The repeat songs had new backgrounds and they worked. Go Emily and Amy.

These Tracks Are Rare & Awesome Too!
Didn't realize this existed! It's worth if for their version of the Clash's "Clampdown" alone, or the Tom Morello mix of "Shed Your Skin"! And the CD price ... grab it while you can.

Great
I bought it for the Kindle because I have always loved it on CD. The Girls' version of the Clash's Clampdown is just awesome - totally different.

Nice Suprises from the Girls
Although some of the songs on this Rarities CD have been released before, or at least heard by me before. I always love a new girls CD. I love track 3! It's been in my CD player for weeks now and I am not tired of it yet. I highly recommend this CD if you are a TRUE Indigo Girls Fan!

Strangely different
An album full of (occasionally live) cover versions with a few original tracks thrown in for good measure? Very nice it is too! There's a few tracks on here which haven't really grabbed me but all in all it's a worthwhile buy.Particular note goes to "Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters" which I've recently discovered is a cover of an Elton John song, "Let me go easy" which is just rather catchy and super, "Uncle John's band" which despite hating the first few times I now love to bits, and "Finlandia" which is a life affirming piece of accapela that's slightly something to do with Sibellius. The live stuff puts across the intimacy of the gigs in a different tone to 1200 curfews (and certainly better than that awful "Live At the Fillimore" vid). The great thing about Rarities is that as it's not a new album per se, it can get away with being a mixed bag of treats with only the odd coffee cream thrown in. It certainly made my winter drives more cosy.
