Overall I am very pleased with the garment. I have a Bichon/Westie cross and often find it difficult to get the right sizing. This coat is very well made from quality materials and the built-in harness is a great bonus. It fits my dog very well and covers the whole of the back, unlike some I've purchased before. There are loops for the back legs which will stop the coat from lifting in windy weather. The neck extension protects the underside but there is a gap on the upper side. One also needs to be careful when zipping up the coat as the fabric that lies below the zip can easily get caught in the zip mechanism. The same is true when unzipping. It's just a case of taking extra care.The coat is advertised as being waterproof. It hasn't been used as yet in falling rain so I can't comment on the shell's ability to shed rainwater. The problem, however, is that the underside becomes waterlogged when walking on wet surfaces and water is splashed upwards (my dog has very low undercarriage!).It's the ideal coat for cold, dry weather. Despite the shortcomings (which prevents me giving it a 5 star rating) I have bought a second one.

This coat looks lovely and warm well made feels cosy but sizes are a bit on the small side so had to send back and get the next size up

I measured my pup before I ordered this and he was a 20inch chest so the XL fits him well with room for some growth which won’t take long at the rate he’s growingGood quality material and straps, really cosy inside because Weimaraners feel the cold he was happy with it on.

XS being modelled by our long hair Chihuahua, 2.9kg... Fits with plenty of room but not overly baggy... He walks well in it which I'm very pleased about as he refused to walk in a normal harness. Tested in windy and chilly conditions, but not rain... He wasn't shivery when we picked him up...I like the high neck and that the zip stops at the base of the neck, making it comfy for him to wear and not overly cumbersome.The harness closes nicely and fits the body well. We haven't used it walk with as we carry him to the park.I would recommend this coat

Based on measurements I ordered in medium for my teacup longhaired Chihuahua, unfortunately coat too big, the harness straps in tightest position hung so far over his body they looked ridiculous. As to the draw string to tighten back they were excessively long before touched, once pulled to adjust coat to fit, given the coat was excessively long, the strings are then way too long there was so much excess cord no amount of tying into knots could stop them dragging on the floor. As to the leg straps they were way too large for a small dog who is close to the ground, leg straps just dragged on ground. If you can get right size and fit for your dog I'd say this is a lovely coat, good value for money, will give warmth, be waterproof and could look nice. But unfortunately not suitable for my furbabys body size and shape. Returned for full refund.

If your buying for a pup be aware that the "harness" only goes so small.....there is elastic straps which are pointless and some tightening toggles which again there isn't really any purpose for. It's ok and seems warm, not worth the money though and very fidgety, kinda glad the husband's was on hand to hold the pup whilst I messed with the zips, plastic buckles, straps and toggles, the coat fit him lovely but the harness at its smallest was way too big and slack.

Really liked this dog coat. It's very snug and our dog seems very comfortable in it even with the back leg loops.The problem we have is that the harness is far too big for the coat and does not provide any security for our dog as even at its tightest the harness straps hang down below the dogs body. I'll either have to take it to someone and get it altered (I'm no good with sewing) which will add to the cost of the coat or not use it as its so awkward as it is.

Bought this for my King Charles. Definitely measure before you order as I would have bought him the wrong size if I hadn’t. Lovely coat and does the job well. Only criticism is the elastic bits that go around the back legs to keep the coat down keep loosening and then they’re half way down his legs so we just don’t put his legs through them. Still a great coat though!
