SCHLAGEF51A ACC 505 Accent Door Lever, Keyed Entry Lock, Bright Brass

I was surprised by how sturdy, overbuilt it was. I needed something for an office/bedroom door and this was built as if it were for an exterior door. No complaints from me about that! I bought it because it had every feature I needed.Installation was easy even though the last step of the on line installation video was confusing (more a me issue than the video's issue), a quick call to their help line cleared everything up. Their support person was patient, kind and able to tell me what needed doing.I LOVE this. Would I buy it again should the need arise? Absolutely!!

I bought this Schlage F51A keyed entry lever lock to replace a no-name lock that was on our interior garage to laundry room door with spring hinges. The other lock lever had begun to break down and I needed a sturdy and easy replacement.Installation took 10 minutes and the build quality of this lock is worth the money spent. It comes with two keys and several different installation options for the strike plate - rounded corners or square corners. The choice is a nice option.Feels solid and works like a charm. Easy instructions. I may be replacing others along the way too. While this one is certainly not the cheapest option, it feels very solid. I'm happy with it.

This was very easy to install. It actually took about .5 hours in total. It matched the other locks in the house. After install, it worked very well. This was a good purchase.

I bought this door lever because I wanted one from a trusted company like Schlage. The handle installed easily, works very well and should provide years of service. The polished brass looks very nice on a red chestnut stained door. There is nothing in the instructions about the size bit you should use to bore the edge hole. I had pre-drilled a 1 inch hole, which will work because the latch is supported by a collar and the two screws through the plate, but I am accustomed to having the latch fit more snugly in the hole. Should have gone with 7/8 inch bit. My other problem is the pin hole present on the outside of the handle that is used to unlock the lever from the outside by inserting a small tool or a stiff paper clip. This handle is advertised as usable for inner doors and entry doors so I can see the purpose of this feature when used inside where someone could be incapacitated inside of a locked room. But for an entry door, which is what I am using it for? Not exactly what I am comfortable with so I will probably fill the hole with J-B Weld putty and hope that I don't make a mess because as I said, the handle looks very nice.

Schlage is built to last! This is great for home or business. Easy to use & no difficulty turning like regular door knob

If you have arthritis in your hands this is a must.

Quality door handle.I looked at some cheaper door handles but went with this one (actually bought 2). Nice plating. The directions are good but not great about how to change the handle for a left or right handle door.When ordering, it would have been nice to specify which orientation one needs. Otherwise 50% of purchasers will take 5-15 minutes to figure out and then change the orientation of the handle.There was a little “play” in the handle that initially concerned me. Just fine in use. I think the slight additional movement is so one can put in the straight pin to change the orientation.

Excellent way to secure an inside door.

Very solid product!

The lock knows how to switch itself back to unlock when you exit the door from the inside by pushing on the handle once. You will never get locked out if you exit the room forgetting that you have it on lock mode. Changing all doors to this lock now

Very pleased with this purchase, it fits our need. The package came on time.
