This energy-saving, soft white LED light bulb uses special, built-in electronics to provide four levels of lighting in your home. The great thing is that you do not need to install a dimmer or any fancy gadgets - this bulb alters the lighting levels with a simple flick of your existing light-switch. The bulb is a direct replacement for a normal 60W, screw-fitting (E26/E27) light bulb. Just like a conventional, 3-way bulb, our LED bulb provides four levels of adjustable lighting. For total convenience our LED bulb fits most standard, screw-fitting sockets – a special, 3-way fixture is not required and this bulb can NOT USE for 3 way lamp! At full power this bulb gives a soft white light of 10W – equivalent to 60W from an old incandescent bulb: perfect for reading or detailed work. A quick, off/on flick of your regular light-switch drops the lighting level down to 4.5W: ideal for cozy, low-light while you watch TV. Another off/on flick of the switch lighting down to a comfortable 2.3W. Finally off/on flick of the switch dims lighting down to a `night-light´ level of 0.2W Even at full power, running our LED bulb for 3 hours a day will cost a little over $1.08 for the whole year! The hi-tech LED΄s in these bulbs have a life expectancy of more than 22 years – that is incredibly good value for your money! These bulbs DO NOT require any special gadgets, fittings or a dimmer!

Nice, but won't work for everyone.
This thing is really awesome in rooms with neutral walls. It looks good in my home office that has very pale cream/beige walls. (I'm not an interior decorator, but it's a warm but light shade of brown-tinted not-white.) This bulb looked TERRIBLE in my work office, which had darker beigey walls that looked a sickly shade of green in this light. So it's going to depend heavily on the paint on your walls and also the amount of natural light that the room otherwise would receive. (My work office has zero natural light.)

A 3 way light without a 3 way switch.
This light works very slick. I have a single gang box with three switches in it. This makes it impossible to put a dimmer switch in it without major work. This light is just what I needed no dimmer required. Be warned though this is not your standard 3 way bulb. It won't work with a 3 way switch such as in a table lamp. It works with a standard wall switch that you turn on and off to change the level.

Awesome smart light
Awesome smart light. It works as advertised.My only complaint is that the 5W setting is too bright, such that the light's three modes are effectively: very bright (10W), bright (5W), night light (0.2W).I'd prefer the mid mode to be a bit dimmer, eg, 3W. Then it would be very bright (10W), medium light (3W), night light (0.2W).

Fabulous! We bought more, and the brightest setting is rarely used (maybe in winter)...just a flick of the switch and the light is adjusted...brilliant!!!

Great bulbs!
These bulbs are great. I love the flip up and down motion to change the lighting levels. It's a lot easier then going to the lamp and twist the tiny nob a couple of times to get it the right lighting level you want. Only bad thing about that is .... don't do it around your kid(s). My son think it's so neat (so do I). He stands at the light switch for hours flipping the switch up and down. I guess this is one way we can test it's durability. Hopefully the bulb will last.
