Gooseberry Park and the Master Plan

This is a great read aloud book! I read it every year to my kindergarten class but older students would most certainly enjoy it. The story is written from the perspective of the main character, a dog, and his quirky pet friends who try to help solve the mystery of the missing new squirrel mother while they all pitch in to take care of her baby squirrels. Hilarity ensues!

I think Gooseberry Park is the best book because there is a bat that eats egg rolls. Also because of their names: Murray, Stumpy, Kona, Gwendolyn, and Professor Albert. Some people think My Father’s Dragon is the best book but I still think Gooseberry Park is better. Warning: There is a second book in the series called Gooseberry Park and the Master Plan. I think Gooseberry Park is the best book because there is a bat that eats egg rolls. Now that you know about Gooseberry Park go on and read it! Some people think that My Father’s Dragon is better than Gooseberry Park but I still think that Gooseberry Park is better than My Father’s Dragon. I think that you should read Gooseberry Park because Murray the bat loves egg rolls and is hilarious. Now GO get a Gooseberry Park book. Just so you know there is a second book now. Read away. Cute story about a few of the residence of Gooseberry Park. I loved reading this chapter book each night while my grandkids were visiting.It has a few pics, but mostly text.All the little loose ends were tied up neatly and it has a happy ending.

Adorable, well-written, engaging chapter book. Fun-filled antics of animals.

I think anything by Ms.Rylant is good. Mostly we check out from a library, but then I buy the keepers. I bought this one.

The book is in excellent condition & the price is reasonable.

One of my all time favorite childrens books. I give it as a gift frequently. My sons have loved it at every age they've reread it. Wholesome, moving, and funny. The friendship among the animals is lovely and the danger enough to thrill young readers without overwhelming them.

Excellent!! Just as described and arrived quickly. My grandson shared with his first grade class. His teacher loved it too!
