Jerdon HL9515N 8-Inch Lighted Wall Mount Oval Makeup Mirror with 10x and 15x Magnification, Nickel Finish

I purchased this mirror 5 years ago and it is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I use the mirror every single day and I love it. I purchased extra bulbs when I bought it based on a few reviews that said the bulbs burned out fast, but I have replaced the bulb maybe once (I actually don't remember ever needing to replace the bulb, but my husband says that he replaced it once). And bear in mind that I use this mirror daily for at least 30 to 60 minutes. And the bulb is NOT LED, which I also love, because for me LED is the worst lighting to use to apply makeup as LED is so sharp, harsh and uber-bright. Very unnatural imo. I agree with others that the magnifying side is not truly 10x, but is closer to perhaps 5x, which is great for applying general makeup. I use the spot (which is not 15x, maybe 8-10) for eyeliner and brows. The oval shape is perfect for being able to view my entire face, unlike circular mirrors that, well, just don't let you see your whole face (designed by people who don't actually apply their own makeup I would guess). I don't notice any distortion, unlike other mirrors I tried. I have a simplehuman mirror as well and I never use it. I only wish I could find a travel version of this mirror, I would get it asap. I would so definitely buy this again.

This is very sturdy, (thicker than it might appear in the picture). Easy to mount. Good quality glass on the 1X and 10X mirror, (only OK slightly distorted glass on the X15 small insert mirror). The light isn't too bright, but any brighter would blind me with the light (a tough compromise, between wanting to have the face lit, but not wanting to squint into a light); the light is a bit orange in color (15W Incandescent bulb, comes with a spare, easy to replace). The arms and swivels allow me to place this at any position and angle I desire.Only wish, would be for it to be offered in more finishes (shinny Chrome or Brass....). It is darker than any other fixture in my bathroom.The cord is a nice coiled (like old phone cords) with clear plastic covering, that blends well with any color wall.Caution: With this you will see wrinkles and imperfections in your face, that you never knew you had, Don't worry about these, no one will ever get that close to your face to see what this mirror shows. The magnification is powerful.

Nicely designed mirror with clean simple lines. Love the 15x spot. The light's bright enough for me; nevertheless I replaced the bulb with a 4000º daylight LED (pricey as that is…).A star ding because the build could be both tighter and straighter. The mirror arms are level side to side with the mirror facing one direction (unfortunately, the magnified side out, making for a funhouse effect when entering the room), and not level with the mirror facing in the other direction (unfortunately the UNmagnified side, which I prefer out and hence always see an out of level oval object on the wall). I'd have prefered another inch length on the arms, but that oval frame is bigger/heavier than a circle, and the build, to its credit, seems amply beefy while still appearing refined and proportional.On the whole an ok value; 2/3 the price I had to spend 15 years ago for a similar, quality, item.edit: after several months of use the arm at the joint was sagging. It turns out that unlike the 15 year old mirror this replaced, the joint of which was press-fit, this mirror's joint is screwed together. The large screw (on the underside) had loosened up with use and needed a little tightening, which removed the sag.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this mirror and I'm glad I choose this one. It works extremely well and I have it installed inside a cabinet so when I don't need it for shaving, it's easy swing and fold to go inside the cabinet so it doesn't ruin the look of my bathroom. The product itself is beautiful but I wouldn't like it always visible because the mirror looks more modern to me and I am going for a different look in the bathroom. The only complaint I have, is the light could be a little brighter, but even so, it still works great and allows me to shave without having to bend over the sink and get close to the wall mounted mirror (can't see without my glasses on and shaving with them on is a pain!) I highly recommend this mirror for anyone that wants a close mirror for any use. I'm guessing for females it would be great for applying makeup. But for males it is perfect for shaving and I love all the different options for magnification. I have used all three depending on what i'm doing, shaving, getting hair our of my ears, etc!

I have the smallest (only) bathroom in my house known to American mankind. Little did I realize my serious need for a lighting, mirror with magnification would become a space issue. without even thinking about it, i decided on this Jerdon oval shaped mirror because it looks good and it doesn. It also became a spacesaver because when I went to install it in the 1' wide space I have to use, I realized that a big, round mirror would never have worked.I like the soft lighting of this mirror, the 15x magnification is too much, but the 10x is great. The swivelling arm works well, and once it was installed, I wasn't worried it was going to breakdown or anything like so much cheap junk on the market. This Jerdon is made of real metal, so it will hold up for a few years.~Ms. Ali

I love this mirror. It's my second one, my husband broke the first one during our bathroom remodel. I like it so much I bought the exact same one. It's well made, the light is bright and the smaller magnifying mirror is very helpful. I love the fact that I don't have cords hanging, my husband wired it directly.

Buena calidad, El único detalle que le veo es que los focos que tienen no iluminan lo suficiente. Pero se pueden sustituir sin problemas lo cual lo vuelve funcional.

Great product. Small mirror is really not large enough, but ok. Really like the magnified large mirror. Unit is heavy, but if installed in a wall stud is not an issue. Item has a 120V cord for plugging in. A great feature. Swing arm works great too.

Perfect in my new bathroom. Love the two levels of magnification for hair removal and the flip side as regular mirror for doing hair. Very sturdy and came with everything needed to install on my wall.

I like this mirror, it looks great, well made but it is heavy.. having the light is very nice and I can see everything clearly on my face. I don't mind having the cord to plug it in, its curly and is not ugly white or black, its clear ish. I wold purchase this mirror again. Husband said that it won't fall down because of the long screws that are included with it. He said just don't yank it out from the wall, use care and caution. We don't have wooden studs in our home, they are metal so that makes a difference. If you could screw it into a stud, it would be much much better.
