The mirror is as advertised and should work well for most, but the wall attachment is juvenile, at best. The provided expansion mounts do not support the mirror’s movement and worst of all, the internal metal brackets bend causing the entire frame to wobble from side to side. I would not recommend this mirror if you are not handy with tools and wallboards.

GREAT MIRROR, Easy to Mount and Use. Some reviewers are saying they hired someone to install this mirror. I am an "old" lady and I installed it myself. You can buy smaller packages for less money. They are also available at your local hardware store.2. If you have the option of installing on the opposite side of your dominate hand, I would recommend it. The arm on the mirror is long enough, but if someone with long arms is using it they might occasionally appreciate the extra elbow room.3. Some reviewers are saying the magnification side of the mirror is blurry. You need to be able to adjust how near or far your face is from the mirror. For that reason, I recommend that you mount it on the wall at the "outer" edge of your vanity, not along the back of the vanity.4. Hold the mirror and look into it so you can figure out what height works best for you, then mark it on the wall.5. On the sides of the round plate are two tiny "set screws", remove them so you can remove the "mounting plate". Hold the mounting plate up to the marks on your wall and mark the two screw holes.6. Hold up screw from the Anchor. Choose a drill bit the size of the shank of the screw, but smaller than the threads of the screw. Drill a hole into your drywall. (If you hit a wall stud, you don't need the drywall anchor, simply use a screw) After drilling the hole, use a hand held screw driver to screw the anchor into the wall.7. Place the mirror mounting plate over the anchors you have installed aligning the holes and add the screws. Then place the mirror over the mounting plate and install the set screws you removed earlier. EasyLAST TIP. Some reviewers complained that the 15X magnifying mirror was in the wrong place (at the top or at the bottom). If you need it to be lower or higher, simply flip the mirror from top to bottom, then flip it from left to right and presto....it has shifted lower or higher.Some of these tips may seem simple to you, but they would have saved a lot of reviewers money not having to pay someone to install the mirror and also helped others who were complaining about the placement of the 15X mirror.I LOVE THIS MIRROR. Love this mirror- I actually purchased another for my guest bath. I hate clutter on countertops but I need a magnifying mirror for my contact lenses. Saw something like this in a high end home store but it was a fortune! So excited to find this on Amazon! It is large and sturdy and offers 3 different mirrors. It swivels and beds with no effort!

Love this product and wish I had bought it sooner. Has made vision in the bathroom routines so easy. My husband using it too and delighted we could place by window for light and that it fits flat against the wall when not in use. Cannot believe how fast it arrived after ordering. Will be recommending to friends.

Great magnification-easy to install!

It’s design made installation challenging. Not very sturdy, the mirror when tilted doesn’t necessarily stay in place, I hope it doesn’t get worse with time. It’s up, so I’m not returning, but knowing what I know now I would not have bought this mirror.

I had a couple small issues with installing the mirror. I didn't have drill bits that fit the size of the anchors included, and couldn't find any at Home Depot, so ended up buying new screws and anchors to use instead of what came with. Not a big deal, but an inconvenience even so.I made the mistake of lining up the holes for the mount instead of making sure the hinge itself is perfectly lined up on the wall. Rookie mistake, since I should have known the holes weren't exactly lined up with the hinge. So now the arm of my mirror isn't exactly parallel to the tile line below it. No one but me will ever see that, but I see it every time I use the mirror.But the mirror itself is exactly what I need to see all the gory details when applying make-up.

I was sad to return this, as the quality of the glass seemed quite nice. I have tried two other mirrors and those both had distortion in the glass. But the Jerdon one appeared to have no real distortion issues. However; I found the 15x mirror to be obtrusive and I just couldn't get used to it blocking part of my view. Also, the hinge was quite wonky - I was careful to install the wall plate level, but after attaching the mirror, the hinge was at an angle Also, parts of the hinge tilted one way and parts tilted the other way. So it looked bad. In addition, it seemed the mirror had been used - specifically the wall plate cover. It was rusty inside and there was a scratch on the outside. The glass, however, did appear to be new and in good shape.

Good quality, solid but the x15 is so strong that it is useless. Unless you want the finest little detail of your skin shown but without perspective of the whole. Little round mirror kills view.Better with a x2 and x10 magnification.

Impressive quality, especially for the price. My wife loves it and uses it every day. Installation is pretty straightforward if you're affixing to a wood stud. My installation was to a hollow drywall so I used metal toggle bolts instead of the plastic expansion anchors that you receive with the mirror. Manufactures love to give you those cause they're cheap, but it's only a matter of time before things get loose. My install doesn't wobble any, very sturdy.

The reason for a 3 star is the small 15x insert is useless and it obstructs the view of larger mirror. I wish I had bought a 15x large mirror. I would have returned but once mounted I wasn't going to dismantle. The unit itself is of excellent quality. Very sturdy. Well made. I would order from this company again.

I have never enjoyed something as much as this mirror! When I take off my glasses I can’t see anything but now I can actually put my makeup on without guessing where my eyeliner is going, etc. The 10X is worth it, something I should have purchased a long time ago! Very pleased!!!
