Buy another brand...
Additional Update: 10/27/2020...after numerous emails, including serial numbers and invoice copies...several times...Furrion has decided to replace our entire unit as it is...faulty...let’s hope the replacement is not the same. Apparently, we were sent a unit built in July of 2018, shipped in 2020...oldy mouldy sitting around...Update: it’s October and we are STILL dealing with issues with this unit. Every time we contact them , the want a copy of the invoice and the serial number and pictures of this and that...then they tell us to do it all again...and then they tell us they can’t see anything that is causing the issues...well of course you can’t Furrion! You have no desire in supporting your customers...too busy spending money on ads to rip others off...so again, we will send the photos and wait for Furrion to tell us nothing is wrong...This replaced a Penguin air conditioner that had reached its end life. We looked at reviews...and YouTube posts...and decided to get the Furrion...and I wish we hadn’t. I think it would be fine in an enclosed space not bigger than 8 x8 feet...but I live in a 32 Ft Airstream. My other Penguin, lower btu than the Furrion, cools over half of our 32 feet. This unit freezes up and stops blowing cold air. Even when we have the Penguin on in the back, the Furrion cannon cope. We cannot rely on it to keep our domicile cool if the outdoor temperature exceeds 90 degrees. We had issues with installation...contacting Furrion is a crap shoot as customer service representatives may or may not have a clue of what they are advising.I wish I had gotten another Penguin.I wish I could get Furrion to take this back.I will never buy any of their products again. I will now have to save up another huge hunk of money to get a Penguin. Hopefully someone will buy the used one from us. It is just not reliable for more than a few hours.

Don't Buy It
This unit was recommended by a company I have done business with in the past. I noticed another reviewer had a unit that the fan had one speed on all settings. Mine also has one speed on all settings. This was proven by my turbine air speed indicator, used to measure the air flow in a plenum. Other people had trouble with the installation. That is understandable. The manual is difficult to follow and the diagrams are nearly useless. The unit freezes up much more easily than it should. It will work with your main ac unit if you do not set the Furrion too low. I would never purchase another one of this brand. The thing that bugs me the most, was receiveing zero response to my email to their support. I mentioned the fan had one speed and asked if that was normal. They state a response will be forthcoming in 2 days. It has been a week and still nothing after I sent another email yesterday. I do not feel like removing it. Let the buyer beware.

Works very well!
Cools very well. I put it I a 36ft motorhome. Keeps the coach very cool even on days that are 100 deg. +! I have a separate unit for the bedroom.

It will arrive damaged
Great air conditioners, the issue is Furrion's packaging. I previously installed a 15.5btu unit and found it could not keep up on extremely hot and humid days in my 34 foot rv. I had to send back the first unit due to damage to the upper and lower shrouds. The second one also had damage to the shroud, not as bad as the first one, but I had to live with it, or go without ac. When I decided to add another unit from a different seller it also arrived damaged in the same fashion. The seller immediately replaced the shroud and covered the repair cost to get the unit operational. Great customer service. Furrion has a problem though and should fix it. It would save them money in the long run and provide them loyal satisfied customers. I do hope they fix it because the units work good and look good once you get past the frustration of trying to get an undamaged one.

Nice Air Conditioner So Far.
Bought this to replace a Carrier AirV that had reached the end of it's life. Unit was well packaged and arrived undamaged. Instructions were a little unclear but YouTube videos sorted out any confusion. Unit doesn't blow nearly as hard as the AirV did but as other reviews have stated it blows much cooler with less noise. One complaint, the manual control box vents would be much nicer if they directed air downward or allowed the user to adjust the airflow direction. For the price and ease of installation I can absolutely recommend this unit so far. I'll be purchasing another one of these to replace an anemic Coleman AC if the unit holds up well with use.Had some shipping confusion as well but the seller was quick to respond and very helpful.

A great value and easy install!
I received my Furrion AC unit over a week ahead of the scheduled delivery which was great. AC unit and control came in separate boxes, no damage and in great condition. All parts were in the boxes. This unit was purchased to add a 2nd AC to my Thor Freedom Elite 30FE RV. The hardest part of the whole install was removing the existing vent and the sealant from the roof in 100 degrees heat! I had to run it’s own electrical as our RV is a 30amp setup but honestly that part was easy. Most difficult part was figuring out where I wanted to drill a hole at in the outside of my RV for the plug! All worked out and the new Furrion AC unit kicked out some very cold air and is by far the best upgrade we’ve done. No more carrying around a portable AC and venting it out a window on trips. With both ACs running in the RV it was easily 68 inside and about 100 outside.
